Fragrances - Crystal Gardenia

BEAUTIFUL Floral – I love tuberose and sweet florals so I’m in heaven! Not a fan of hers but this perfume is truly gorgeous. It’s very feminine and smells quite expensive. I don’t get much musk or woods in this just smooth sweet tuberose. I didn’t like the original KK fragrance as it was too sour but this one isn’t like that. I also wear Glam, which is sort of similar to Crystal Gardenia, but its more aquatic tuberose and fruity. Others compare this to Gucci Bloom but in my experience GB is more woody and not as aquatic and sweet as Crystal Gardenia. I paid $45 for the 2.5 oz. and it lasted 8 hours. Overall this is just gorgeous if you like tuberose scents.

Crystal Gardenia was an impulse blind buy, which has surprised me with how wearable I find it. I didn't like her self-named fragrances with tuberose in them as it overtakes everything else on me, but here it is perfectly balanced with the gardenia and tiare flowers. Very clean and clearly defined. However the watery grapefruit, pear and lily combined with the airy musk make Crystal Gardenia seem 'cold' to me, which stops me from truly enjoying Crystal Gardenia. Plus this is quite a linear fragrance. So whilst I'll use up my bottle without complaint, I wouldn't rebuy it - I like warm, cuddly scent notes in my fragrances and I don't detect any of the sweeter & intimate accords other people pick up on in this. Crystal Gardenia Citrus is my top pick from KKW, as I find it a bit sweeter and it feels like a 'happy' fragrance to. me Official scent notes; pink grapefruit, Anjou pear, water lily, gardenia, tiare flower, tuberose, sandalwood, solar amber and skin musk. The fragrance lasts around 6/7 hours on me, and it goes close to the skin quickly. Not the greatest, but I think it is pretty good for the more affordable price range [£38 for a 30ml bottle - including international shipping and custom tax]. The healing crystal shaped bottle, thick card flip-lid box and accompanying envelope containing three clear quartz healing crystals, looks fantastic. A great gift idea - the presentation of the fragrance gives it an expensive, luxurious feeling. The international shipping time is very good too - exactly 7 days between ordering from the US-based company, shipping and delivery to my front door in England.
