I LOVE this palette.

This is the only make up I took for a 2 week vacation to Japan in the middle of summer, and it got HOT and HUMID, and this was awesome.

A good mix of matte and pearl and glittery. Good range of shades from light to dark. I use it for everything from eyebrows to highlight to eyeliner, and it's amazing. None of them are suuuper pigmented, but it builds and blends easily.

The packaging is very very simple, but sturdy. I've dropped both this and the nude palette a few times, with no breaks.

There's no scent to it at all. Here in NZ it's about $8 from Farmers.

i was really disappointed with this product. others online gave it fairly decent reviews, and because i live overseas atm i usually have to pay a markup for brands that are more accessible to folks living in say the US or the UK. which is fine when the products are good quality and do what i expect them to. but this product got decent reviews on the blogs i read where it was featured and i just feel like people were being nice because it's a drugstore product. of course there are PLENTY of spectacular products available at the drugstore, but it's not fair to give a generally favorable review to something just because you feel bad about saying something negative when the product is this inexpensive. i paid about $8 for this, so nothing astronomical, but it's definitely $8 i wish i'd saved.

the packaging is nice, very compact, and hasn't broken or gotten loose hinges in the several months that i've owned it. i can overlook the fact that it doesn't have a mirror because it's so small anyway that i don't think i'd get much use out of a mirror that size lol. i do like some of the shades - the dark matte brown is moderately pigmented (i use it for my brows), and the matte cream is great for setting my eyelid - very pigmented, but buying a single cream eyeshadow is really not hard to do. the shimmers are the main reason i picked up this palette, and they're all quite chalky. they blend out to a sheer wash of pastel whether you use your finger or a sponge applicator or add water etc, and the shimmer is almost undetectable. also, there is insane kickback with just about every shade. and the dark shimmery purple/black honestly swatches identically to the dark shimmery brown. they are practically the same color even though they look wildly different in the pan. i typically just use the dark matte brown in my brows, the cream on my lid, and alternate between the shimmery white and shimmery pink for my inner corner. i really don't get a lot of use out of this palette otherwise. i would say the pigmentation on ALL the shimmers in this palette is really lackluster and any time i get the itch to try one again to see if my opinions have changed i inevitably end up going over it with a comparable shade from another palette that actually has good pigmentation.

the mattes blend okay in general and the pan size is fairly generous, but i will not be repurchasing this and do not recommend it to anyone, even folks who are just trying out eyeshadow for the first time and want something to practice with. the colors are all quite sheer and because the tones are so similar they just blend into each other and look very muddy and messy. overall not happy with this purchase and very disappointed with it in general. looking forward to the day when i pan the shades i like the most so i can just throw away the rest.
