This is very pigmented for a lip balm, like the level of a sheer lipstick. This shade is more red than berry though, and is pretty bright. It is not very shiny. The texture is kinda like a thicker waxy balm. It does not wear evenly, and leaves colour around the outside of your mouth. I do not recommend these.

Berry Sweet is from the Kiss lip balm line from ELF. Like XO Red (reviewed previously), this 'balm' is a very pigmented pink berry, just barely less than opaque. This has the same minty/tingly feeling as the rest of the line that does fade (I love t though). Texture is thick and actually slightly dry to put on. It isn't super moisturizing but isn't drying either. The color is truly very lovely and face-livening, but it is more pigmented than a sheer, balm-type lipstick, and less pigmented than a good cream formula lipstick. I'd say it has medium opacity, actually. Now, the color does wear off the high planes of the lips very quickly (as soon as you run lips), so although it looks gorgeous when it goes on, as soon as you rub it tends to head for the lip creases and stay there. It makes lip creases look darker than the rest of the lip. Not a fan of that look, I will readily admit! This probably doesn't happen as notably for young/smooth lips, but I'm 38. So, yes, it's pretty and tasty/tingly, but this shade's adhesion formula isn't great, despite it being the second best in the line from those I've tried (most of them-previously reviewed individually). So, no rebuy for me and I'll only wear this around the house.
