Notes: White Frangipani, Toasted Coconut, Bergamot Waters, Saltwater Breeze.
Reviewers on B&BW's website who said this smells like suntan lotion are spot on. I stopped by the store this afternoon to try it. I had it mixed up with Beach Nights which is the one I really wanted to try, but whilst I was there, I tried At The Beach. It indeed smells like suntan lotion with coconut being the most noticeable note. I did not really detect any bergamot, and perhaps only the slightest bit of salt. It is very light--one of the lightest B&BW body sprays I have ever smelt. I tried both the body spray and the body cream. The body spray disappeared from my skin within about thirty minutes of application. The body creme lasted a while longer. The body spray had little projection and little sillage. If you want to smell like a lightweight suntan lotion, then this might be the fragrance for you if you do not mind frequent reapplication as performance is very poor indeed. The Tutti Dulci body sprays are not the best performers, but even they out perform At The Beach.
I have to wonder where one would wear At The Beach aside from perhaps a pool party or barbeque, or perhaps if one wished to meditate on being at the beach. If one is actually at the beach, then one would wear actual suntan lotion I am sure. I do not suppose it is easy to come up with Summer fragrance ideas, though.
If you have tried this fragrance and really like it, I suggest you wait until the Summer clearance sale. You may be able to pick it up for $5 or less. Today at the store, the body spray, shower gel, body lotion, and body creme were all priced at $7 each, the same as on the website. For my money, this is not worth $7. I am not even sure I would want it for $1. Definitely test it in store before you order it on-line.
