Beautiful palette if you love jewel toned metallic shades! This was a random spontaneous purchase off eBay that I stumbled across while looking for something else and it immediately caught my eye. I got it for $29.95 on eBay but it's on the SauceBox website for $37. The packaging is so pretty and the magnetized stiff cardboard palette contains 4 large pans (4gm each, 36mm) that are removable. Shades are as follows: Wealth - a metallic yellow gold, Jade - a metallic emerald. Futuna - a beautiful metallic violet and last but not least, Inferno - a stunning metallic red with an almost coppery gold shimmer. None gave me any issues with application or pigmentation. I've read some conflicting reviews on the matte 8 pan "Etude" palette with some shades potentially being chalky but the shimmers/metallics in this palette are definitely quality formulations! SO glad I took a chance on this! It doesn't hurt that they're also vegan, cruelty free, paraben free and made in the USA. You can even use these on the lips! No carmine! Also, no mineral oil. I'm finding from experience and a bit of research that these densely formulated shades that some indie brands have use mineral oil instead of dimethicone, and the mineral oil can make the shadow heavy and dense and gives an increased potential for "hard pan" where you can't pick up any product at all, it's so compacted. Dimethicone gives a much more elegant feel and formulation (in my personal findings) and is less likely to melt and crease over time on the eye (or get hard or oily in the pan).
I know this is limited edition and so I'm anxious to see what they release next. I would not hesitate to have more SauceBox in my stash.
