This is the final step to my nightly skincare routine, I usually will apply this before I go to sleep as I find it can feel a little tacky on the skin if I apply it too early. This product is designed to be an overnight mask so it's very thick and will sit on your skin, though I find that my skin will absorb a lot of it during the night or rub off.

My skin always feels so soft and supple in the morning after using this product, it also allows me to get away with using just a cleansing water on lazy mornings as my skin is still super moisturised.

Cosrx have recent changed the packaging for this product, it's now available in a squeeze tube which I find more effective and hygienic, previously it was in a tub with a complimentary spatula but as the mixture is so thick and goopy it also attracts hairs (I have pets!)

This is something I have already repurchased and have found that it works really well for my dry skin.

Got milia after using this. I've never had milia but after using this, I got milia. Really disappointed with the product.

So I picked this up after seeing Gothamista rave about it on Youtube. She had a lot of good things to say about the ingredients, even though it doesn't actually contain any honey (but propolis extract and beeswax). It's a very lightweight formula and feels like a cool liquid-y gel when you apply. It feels quite soothing and doesn't irritate my dry skin at all. I also didn't notice a scent and there's no added fragrance in here. This mask has amazing reviews on pretty much any retailer's website that you look on. It's also what I consider affordable at $16 USD retail.

The reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is I don't find it particularly hydrating, and it literally has "Ultimate moisturizing" in the name. Does it feel nice? Sure. Does my skin feel more hydrated after? Sure. Is it "ultimately moisturizing"? No. The claims say you can use this as an overnight mask, wash off mask, or moisturizer. I definitely don't think I could use this as a moisturizer on it's own as my skin would need a lot more than this, but it might work as such for oily skinned folks.

If you're looking for something that's good to calm your skin down, I do think it's good for that. I've used this at least 5+ times and I can't say that i've noticed any lasting effects with it though. It's not terrible, just not something that warrants all the hype around it (for my skin anyway).

Firstly, despite this being called a 'Honey' mask there isn't honey in the mask, but there is 85% Propolis Extract which is great for its antioxidant and antibiotic, antifungal, and antiviral properties (thanks Google!)

So I use this mask differently to the reviewer below. I have oily, acne prone yet dehydrated skin. I use this mask only at night after I've completed my regular skin care routine. So I double cleanse, tone, use whatever serum my skin needs, moisturise and then add this mask over it to seal it all in.

The consistency is light and a little sticky on your face but my face just drinks it all up, I was amazed to wake up with barely a hint of anything left on my face. This mask has never broken me out and it's great for that extra moisture hit my skin needs every now and then.

I will repurchase!

PS This mask now comes in a tube, way more hygienic than the tub so buy the tube if you can!

This sleeping mask is amazing for so many reasons so I really do love it! It contains a lot of propolis and bees wax totaling about 85% in this mask. Now I think because of these bee related ingredients my skin is doing so well in these colder months. First my main issue is redness whether from a spot or just because I'm so fair I get a lot of redness. With this mask I either apply it as my last step in my nighttime skincare routine. This makes my acne spots less red and angry. My blotchyness is gone, and my dry skin from using retinoids is balanced and barely peels.

The propolis is anti microbial so I think that's why it helps so well with acne. You can also use this as a wash off mask or as a makeup base. I prefer to use it at night and as a spot treatment. My nose is so red and dry so I apply this throughout the day and it feels and looks less red and angry. My hormonal spots are barely noticeable or on their way out. Plus, I get so much hydration from this mask which is what I need! I'm combo sensitive skinned and am very dry atm. This actually helps balance the moisture in my skin. It comes in a tub which is ok as I always wash my hands before I use it.

I purchased this on eBay it was one of Cosrx's more pricey products but honestly for what it does I'd pay a lot more. Also the texture is so smooth on the skin so I can see how this would make a good makeup base. This mask is not sticky or thick feeling on my skin at all. In fact it's very hydrating and refreshing. I have only been using Cosrx's products for my acne and anti aging needs and I love their products! For me they have totally delivered. I would and will repurchase this. It's a wonderful sleeping mask and spot treatment in my case and it's done wonders for my skin. I wouldn't be without it in the colder months and for its ability to counteract redness is awesome. Recommended!
