I have the white mixer, and it is a LIFESAVER if you're like me and don't live close enough to Sephora to get foundation samples and have to guess your shade. I dot it on my face with my liquid foundation (currently using and loving Smashbox Studio Skin 15-Hour in shade 1.1), do a rough blend with a finger to mix the colors, and then buff with a Sigma F80. The end result looks so good, because the foundation matches my skin perfectly! Also, the white mixer is a cool, almost blue-white (as opposed to a warmer cream-white) so it also helps tone down the warmness of the Smashbox foundation. It's doesn't turn it pink though...hard to explain. You might need to do some trial-and-error with the amount of mixer needed to get your perfect shade, but after that, off to the races. Adding the mixer also doesn't change anything about the foundation (including finish or wear time), which is pure sorcery, IMO. The mixer doesn't break me out, and it has no discernible scent. I had to order my tube from NYX online because I've never seen it in a store, but at $15 I think the tube will last me at least 6 months, if not a year. Will I repurchase, heck yes, and I might get a backup because this mixer is magical! EDIT 11/27/19: The outer cap of the top doesn't stay on anymore, but there's an inner cap that still screws onto the tube (and stays closed). Minor packaging flaw, maybe not even worth mentioning...
