I don't know if these are being discontinued or phased out or what, but Ulta had these (and the entire Laura Geller line) on sale for a whopping 75% off, so I knew I had to grab a few of these lipsticks after swatching them. Heck - I'd have paid full price for these because I love them that much. (Note, these are normally $21 for 3.8g of product, which is pretty darn good when you break it down, even for a higher-end lipstick.) I bought three of the metallic shades - Broadway Glitz (a stunning plum with blue-shift glitter), Astor Place Tulip (the ONLY baby pink lip I've ever loved - muted with silvery glitter), and Battery Park Bronze (orange-y bronze with golden glitter), and I adore all three. First off, I love the New York theme in all the names. NY is my happy place, and it feels a little fancy to rep the most magnificent city in the world on my lips. But the shades! Oh my goodness they are SO gorgeous!! Astor Place Tulip was a surprise for me, since I don't typically like lighter pinks, but this one is muted and has just enough warmth to really look gorgeous against my light olive complexion, and it doesn't make my teeth look yellowed at all. Battery Park Bronze has my heart as a pretty, "glowing goddess" everyday shade for Summer. It's a wee bit orange, rather than a true bronze, but it's very flattering. Broadway Glitz is one of the most unique lipsticks I've ever owned. It's got a flattering plum base, but the blue shimmer is so eye-catching and fun. The formula feels soft, but make no mistake - you can feel the glitter on your lips. I know for some, this is a dealbreaker, but it doesn't bother me. And it doesn't look chunky, so I'm not going to count the formula as a drawback. I find the lasting power to be surprising for a non-liquid lipstick, as these hang on for hours. They won't last through eating (especially an oily meal), but they have lasted me well enough through a couple cups of tea and copious amounts of water. Even better - these are non-drying. I don't know how hydrating the non-metallic shades would be, but I don't find these to be particularly moisturizing, but they don't dry out my lips at all. The packaging is suuuuuuper luxurious. It's magnetic, rather than snapping closed, but it doesn't feel like it'll come open in my bag. The component is heavy and very classy looking with a matte black finish and very little text. I do wish the color was indicated better on the bottom of the tube, but that's not really anything to bring the rating down for me. The bullet has an almost scale-print embossing on the full length, which is REALLY pretty. I only take issue with the weird curvature at the tip of the bullet. If I had fuller lips, it might be easier, but it does make application a little strange. But once it wears down, I doubt it'll be an issue. I really do love these. I'm thinking I'll go ahead an grab a couple non-metallic shades as well! Vegan / Cruelty-free

What a beautiful surprise this lipstick turned out to be, when I tried the Central Park Spice. It's a warm cinnamon color that glides on, is moisturizing, and has some staying power. I have dark brown hair with green eyes and this is the perfect color for work. A deep red that is not bright but the right professional shade for me. I agree with another poster that the shape is weird. It's like a concave U shape, making it really difficult to apply. After a few uses, the shape will normalize itself to a usable form. It's my first Laura Geller lipstick and I am pleasantly surprised at the formulation. It has no aroma, which is a plus, doesn't bleed, and my lips like it so far. I would recommend this.

I really like the color, consistency and intrinsic shine of East Side Rouge. It doesn't have much tasty moisture, that is my only real complaint. I have light warm neutral skin and this is a much deeper more rosy color than many of the other lipsticks I've enjoyed in the past (Mac Fast Play or Mac Teddy). Therefore, I would not call it MLBB -- which I am looking for in a mid-range price lipstick. Would appreciate any advice for a newbie looking for a mid-range, rosy, MLBB? This was on sale at a major cosmetic retailer and I may go back and get a few more shades. I am not sure about its lasting power but I will try it tomorrow at a long breakfast meeting.

I don't get the sculpting part of the name but it's a nice heavily pigmented lipstick without flavor or scent. The longevity is in the medium range. In the store the color Mulberry St. appeared sort of red, but in some light it is more of a muted berry. It is a hard color to figure out as it looks different every time I look at it. Feels nice on, with a satin finish. Worth a try especially if lipstick taste or scent is bothersome to you. This turned out to be way more berry toned than I wanted, but the formula seems pretty nice.
