Hellish. Within moments of applying it my throat swelled, and I couldn’t breathe or talk properly. I have tried getting rid of it, but some of the strong smell sticks. My eyes hurt now too (they’re burning), and my nose started to tingle. My ears and jaw are aching. I’ve never had a reaction like this to lipstick. So I thought I’d research the likely culprit. It may be the butylparaben (a preservative) which, according to the EWG has been tied with allergic reactions in at least one study. I did a search and couldn’t find anyone using it in lipsticks (which are consumed). Err.. obviously? Or it could be linked to Propyl Gallate, another potential allergic. Or the perfume. This Natio product is far from natural, and even if you don’t react, it has no business being on your lips!

Natio's previous lipstick range had 3 or 4 lipsticks I'd buy regularly, especially Enchant. The new range is dominated by sombre colours many of which seem to have a brown undertone. The sole pale shade is too cutesie pie for older women, although the clear red looks ok. But no neutrals with a touch of life. I wouldn't wear the new range for summer as they look drab.

The colour is richly pigmented and creamy, but unfortunately I really dislike the feeling of this lipstick on my lips.. It feels very heavy, but most of all - it has this synthetic smell that is very hard to ignore!! Smell is very cheap.

These are terrific lipsticks! I have three colours - Eden (pinky neutral); Soft Pink (60's baby pink) and Rose (bright fuchsia - now discontinued). They are very creamy but not too thick/pigmented. Easy to apply and long lasting. Very moisturising which really surprised me - they do set but have no tight feeling on lips. I note some others have complained about the scent but I've honestly never noticed it at all! I guess it's a herbal botanical scent but it seems to disappear immediately after application. Price is very cheap $AU15 but often on sale. They come in a sleek black tube but I do wish it was more glamorous and that you could see the colour inside. Also their website swatches are not accurate - difficult to pick colours. Overall though a great lipstick for daily use, I would recommend them.

Natio is an Australian natural vegan not tested on animals drugstore brand. I often buy their Skincare products as they are cheap, cheerful and work for me. So when I saw Natio lipsticks on special I picked a couple up - Enchanted, graceful and Bliss - 3 x inoffensive nudes. Colours are pretty, one is a little frosty but not overly so, all three totally work appropriate. Pigmentation is okay, I've purchased high ends such as Dior and Shisedp that have performed at the same level as these but there are better long lasting lipsticks out there, these are okay and way cheaper. The only downside is the smell. Eucalyptus? Menthol? Whatever it is, the smell is strong and that's the only reason I won't be purchasing more.

This lipstick stinks. Literally. I have never payed to much attention to Natio as a brand but I decided to test a few of their lipstick shades while passing time one day. There was nothing too unique about these lipsticks. Simple black tube packaging, creamy formula with a hint of shimmer. The shade Graceful took my fancy, a somewhat pearlescent ballerina pink. The tester was very smushed and damaged (I hate it when people disrespect the testers) and I only managed to smear a small amount in the back of my hand. It was so pretty and the price was right so I bought it. Opening my brand new lipstick, I was excited to try this pretty shade on my lips. When the sealed cap came off.....wow. It smelled like sour, citrusy, floral toilet cleaner. I wanted to give it a chance so I tried it on my lips hoping the smell would lift now it was opened. Fifteen minutes later I had to remove it from my lips. Not to be dramatic, but it was like having a urinal cake under my nose. I am so disappointed as the only negative feature is the scent of this product which several of the ladies I know agree. I now have a practically brand new lipstick that I cannot stand to use which is a real shame as it is such a lovely shade and formula. Pros - Classic packaging, creamy formula, beautiful colour. Cons - So heavily scented that it's unbearable to wear.

Natio is an Australian makeup and skincare brand that takes pride in its being "natural, easygoing and refreshingly real." So far I have tried a couple of their products and they all live up to the brand's promise - including this product. What I love about Natio's Lip Colour range is their selection of colours - quite a great choice of hues and shades that look great in various skin tones. I also like that they lean more towards MLBB shades (check out their website - the shades won't disappoint) of pinks, reds, browns and mauves. I kept asking myself why I didn't check out Natio's makeup booth much earlier! :P I picked up the shade Eden during Priceline's cosmetics sale. Eden is an earthy nude pink that looks fantastic in fair to medium skin tones. The formula glides along my lips so well it's almost yummy, and it smells soothing too. At first I just used this lipstick and blotted my lips twice to see the pigment, and I loved the end result. I also tried blotting my lips with powder to mattify the lipstick, and even though the pigmentation toned down a little bit, I still liked how compatible this lipstick was with my skin tone. The downside? This didn't last as long as I expected despite Natio's "long-wearing" claim, so I thought it was best to have some lip gloss over it once the pigment faded away just to seal the color. Some may also dislike the smell, especially those who avert from the "botanical" cosmetic scent. Other than that, I am glad to say I found my MLBB! Thanks Natio!
