I think they must have revamped their brush because on the website it's labeled as B110=J110. It's a white haired brush with B110 stamped onto the handle. Anyway, it's an amazing brush. I've been hunting for a blush brush for ever. My Wayne Goss 12 is too wide. I loved the MAC 116 but it got scratchy and now they have the synthetic hair atrocities. Bobbi Brown blush brush is too big as is MAC 129, though both beautiful brushes. I usually end up with my MAC168 or equivalent. But I really wanted something the shape and size of the MAC 116. This is a fluffy paddle brush, reminiscent of the shape of MAC 116 but a little bigger and a lot fluffier and longer bristles. It has a smaller width then most blush brushes which works for my smaller cheeks. I like control of a smaller brush for precise product placement. Its impossibly soft and picks up product beautifully. It blends like a dream. I never get an overdone cheek with this. This is the blush brush I have been searching for.

Love, love, love this brush. Absolutely amazing. Better than any brush I have ever tried. So soft, so precise. so beautifully made. The craftsmanship is really obvious. Sigma and Mac pale in comparison. In my opinion, it is worth the money for something like blush or powder to invest in an expensive brush. I can get away with using my Sigma Flat Top Kabuki for liquid foundation and other Sigma or Mac brushes for eyeshadow, but for blush and powder the precision and subtle color application really matters. The Hakuhodo website is very good, they have paypal, delivery was efficient. Would never go back to another brush. Look at the Basic line, which is the cheaper option; the orange handle brushes are the high end versions. I've found the Basic line is really good, so if you want to try the brand, start there.

This is my favourite Hakuhodo brush out of my relatively-modest collection! Although the brush head is slightly larger than what I had been used to before I started using the B110, I haven't found precision application to be an issue and just luuuuurve the softness against my skin! When I first saw that the brush was made from goat hair, I was hesitant as I've had Sephora brushes made out of the same animal (which performed well for their price point, but I'd been looking to "upgrade" with Hakuhodo). However, I've since learnt that goat hairs come in many types and realised that it's a better choice if I want a firmer-bodied brush for my combination skin.UPDATE: the black dye seems to run more with successive washes. I only use my B110 for powder blushes, so it's not a problem but anyone planning to use this for creme colours might be better off with the J110 in white goat hair.I use my B110 to contour my Bobbi Brown Almond blusher under my cheekbones and to blend after application. I was quite surprised at the precision I can achieve despite the length of the brush head (38mm): I try to pick up the powder in a straight line on the brush if I want more directional application. It also works wonders if I simply use it to add blush to the apples of my cheeks for a more naturally flushed look.My only minor quibble with the Hakuhodo brushes is that I wish they could come with a clear plastic brush guard (like the Sephora brush packaging), as I keep these to protect my brush heads whilst travelling. Nonetheless, it was an excuse for me to buy a brush roll especially, as I soon found that I didn't want to be parted from this particular brush when I go away!
