Overall, throughout my vast polish collection, so far ZOYA Rue is my favorite neutral polish. The way the company describes it as. "boudoir blush" to me is so spot on. I have a paler yet still extremely neutral skin tone.(meaning I have about an equal number of cool tones, as well as warm in my coloring). Which helps me to pull off just about any color. Rue is a very sophisticated …Read more

Honestly I am a bit disappointed in the color of this polish. On the Zoya website it looked lighter and pinker. The Zoya website describes this as a boudoir blush cream in the pink family. This is more of a dusty mauve both on me and in the bottle. It is however very neutral and would be perfect for a job interview or wear at a conservative place of employment. It is also good for everyday …Read more

This is a beautiful polish, and it applied like butter for me. Rue is a dusty nude-rose cream, super flattering and light enough to keep it out of mauve territory. The application was fantastic - typical for Zoya - I think I did 3 coats but you could get away with two. It dried quickly also which is normally an issue for me with Zoyas. I wore this for a week because I loved it so much, it did …Read more

First, let me say this is a very pretty color. It goes on opaque in two coats, and works well with my skin. It was packaged very well when it was sent to me (which I appreciated all the bubble wrap). However, I've already had to dilute it with polish thinner. It's pretty stringy and gunky and doesn't go down smooth. And when I do paint it, it ends up bubbling. I'm glad this …Read more

Another 100% here. I'm C4-NO corpse hands with this gorgeous, dusty rose/lilac. Opaque in one coat over Essie ridge filler and coated with Colorstay gel topcoat. Nude with an edge. Perfect.

I've had this polish for about three months, but lately, I've been using it almost constantly. Probably because it's Spring now and I want to wear light, sweet colors rather than my usual blackened hues.
Anyway, this color is absolutely gorgeous. I'm big on nude nails, and I love how this shade is a bit more of a lilac-pink nude rather than straight-up beige. When I wear …

This is a very nice natural shade. It is appropriate in pretty much every setting which is nice and last very well. I have been wearing the polish for a week and been active and only minor wear is showing. I would describe the color as a cool, pale, dusty-mauve creme that has a bit of a pink shade to it in natural daylight. Its a great shade and change from the candy and bright pink shades I …Read more

Rue is part of Zoya's Naturel Collection for 2014. It's a muted, greyed lilac-pink, very similar to Essie's Lady Like (which has just a bit more mauve) and similar to OPI's Tickle My France-Y (which has more pink and is semi-sheer, while all the colors in the Naturel Collection appear to be opaque). It's a beautiful color, perfect if you want something subtle and refined.

This polish is beautiful. It's a dusty pale lilac pink nude creme. My mother had a color in the 1960's called Dusty Lilac by Revlon. Rue reminds me of that color. It's the perfect lady color. Application is perfect. Opaque in 2 coats. I love all the Naturel Collection colors but his one particularly. It's just perfect. Perfect for a bride, perfect for an interview …Read more
