The packaging is very pretty. The price is very good. The product color scheme is also very nice. The product quality is not good!! It flakes and falls everywhere! I really tried to love this product. Light handed or heavy handed, the shadow falls everywhere. I barely ever use it.

I totally love Sephora products , especially their palettes. This is one of my favorites. You're able to do a smoky look in many ways and for the price, it's a steal. I just wished Sephora would come out with more.. A great way to save & look great.

I got this on sale for $11 which is a great price considering how fantastic this palette is. There are 6 eye shadows and one eye pencil in midnight black.

PACKAGING - glossy black almost 5x5 inches square. It feels sturdy and it appears to have some kinda magnetic closure. You can open it easily with both hands -- it's not one of those cases where you have to insert a fingernail into the indentation (like the UD Anarchy face case) to open. It's hard to keep clean though because it picks up finger prints easily. The mirror is a nice size and I've been using this palette a lot sometimes for the mirror only. It easily stays open so you can use both hands to apply make up if you need to. Because it's made of this glossy black plastic you have to be careful when handling it because it gets slippery. This case doesn't look sturdy enough to survive a fall.

EYE SHADOWS - The 6 shadows are divided into 3 pans for the brown smoky eye look and 3 pans for the black smoky eye look. The 3 pans are: one for lining, one for the crease or lid color and the final one as the highlight color. The shadows are buttery and highly pigmented. Best of all, it doesn't come with an instructional insert that you can lose like other palettes (Stila is guilty of this) because the instructions are imprinted right onto the palette so you'll have a constant guide as to where to put which shadow. The pencil smudges real easily (it is for smoking out so I don't expect it to act like a gel liner), but it does what it's supposed to do which is to give you that smoky eye look.

My favorite is the black smoky eye look because unlike most black smoky eye palettes, the highlight color is not white, but gold which looks prettier in my opinion -- so the black colors are a matte black for lining, a grey shimmery (not glittery) color for the crease and the beautiful light gold color for highlighting. The brown smoky side has a brown matte color (like a chocolate brown) for lining, a medium shimmery brown for the lid/crease and a peachy shimmer for the highlight color.

This is really the perfect palette for travel. You have your daytime and night time looks in this palette and you can use the brown for your eye brows (if you have dark brown hair and medium skin tone like me). All you need is lipstick and blush and you are good to go.
