I agree with the below poster. The best thing about this body butter is the smell - a nice, spicy ginger. I'd say the moisturizing properties are pretty average. It feels like a heavy duty body butter, but doesn't sink in well. It took me ages to use my little tub of it, so it's a great value. It's not a bad buy if you really like the scent.

Despite the guy on the lid, this is not a gingerbread scent but true spicy ginger. And (thankfully) despite the name, there is no sparkle or glitter in the formula. I was lucky enough to stumble across this after the holidays when it was on clearance for $5 a pop. Does the job nicely on my winter skin and seems less greasy than some of the other body butters.

I finished the whole container of this butter, but I really had to push myself to do it. The ginger smelled great at first, but I noticed after just a few uses that it started to smell like ginger and sweat is the best way I can describe it. I also found that it was a very heavy butter and didn't absorb easily. It also left my skin feeling very greasy after application. While a little goes …Read more

I didn't like this. The smell is nice, and it absorbed well for a body butter. However, I didn't feel that it actually did much. I actually felt as though my hands felt even drier after a half hour, when they should have been moisturised from applying the lotion to my legs.

I've been using body butters from The Body Shop off and on for many years now, and while I'm not usually a fan of their seasonal scents (Cranberry Joy is waaaay too strong), I liked the Ginger Sparkle but was hesitant to buy because it's not a common scent and I had reservations about smelling like ginger ale for part of my day. But, of course, it went on sale for $5 and I …Read more

This is a beautifully scented butter, smells like sweet ginger beer and cola! One of my faves from The Body Shop so far. The shower gel is lovely too. The consistency is not overly thick and it doesn't feel greasy on my skin. Perfect. I got a small pot as part of the gingerbread house gift set, but I had to buy a 200g pot too!

I am in love with the fragrance! Too bad they don't have body mist or cologne.

This is a Christmas limited edition line. It's a lovely sweet ginger ale fragrance. The sparkle is very subtle and glistens on your skin. It's hardly noticeable really but adds a nice shine (I use this before going to bed). Just like other TBS's body butter, it's thick and moisturizing. The skin will absorb the cream after a while, but it does remain a bit sticky. …Read more
