Looking for a beige shimmer for my light skin with olive undertones, I selected this Urban Decay shadow. I own three other UD shadows (Hijack, Busted, and Psychedelic Sister), they are all finely milled, highly pigmented, and I’ve never had an issue with creasing (I have oily lids) or glitter/shimmer fallout. UD’s eye shadow packaging isn’t always the best, as the snap closed can be a bit temperamental (not always closing or opening when I want), the shadow can break apart in the pan during travel, and with two of my shadows the pans are loose in the cases. Easy Baked is the perfect blend of pink, peach, beige, bronze, and gold. If I use my finger or a densely compacted brush to apply it, the color comes off more metallic (bronze and gold), but if I use a fluffy eye shadow brush, the color is more of a pink-peach-beige with subtle bronze and gold shimmer. I prefer using the fluffy eye shadow brush. This shadow works beautifully with my current everyday favorites: UD Busted (a deep chocolate brown shimmer) and the lash line and Laura Mercier African Violet (a medium violet with copper and bronze shimmer) from the lash line to the crease. I sweep Easy Baked from the crease to the brow bone for the great highlighting and an eye lifting effect. My usual highlighting shadow is bareMinerals Cultured Pearl (which I still love and will never stop buying), but in the warmer months when I want something more pigmented and bronzy, Easy Baked is what I reach for. It’s the perfect beige: it mimics my skin, but better. I will buy this again.
