I love the color of this eyeshadow stick. It's a pretty bright turquoise and is easy to mush around and blend on the eye. This says waterproof but I have always been able to remove it at the end of the day with just soap and water, however I have oily skin so my skin probably breaks it down naturally to some degree. After a few hours it starts to rub off around my eyelid's middle crease.

The packaging, though, is a negative. Somehow in replacing the cap I managed to smear product all over the pencil and cap. It's a very soft product, yet it needs to be sharpened, which is a recipe for mess and wasting product. It's also a fat tube that doesn't fit in the "standard" size for pencils, so you'll probably need to buy a separate sharpener...annoying.

My ratings may look confusing: This is a great product! I am 66 years old and I have become picky about products. When you have "mature" skin, you cannot just pick up anything and use it. You have to worry about fine lines, crepeyness, bizarre colors that produce a scary Grammy look. I tried this product because they had a rather startling color of green but for the price I was willing to see if I could work with it. Remarkably...this turned out to be a great product. Blendable, long wearing, no melting into wrinkles....looked decent 12 hours after application. I was very happy with my purchase.

UNTIL the POINT WORE DOWN. This crayon does NOT FIT in any sharpener I found in the USA. My husband tried to "sharpen " it with his pocket knife something he is quite good at. The pencil portion of this stick is made of some indestructible material!!! Could they possibly have sold this with just the tiny bit of sharpened point as the only useable portion of this crayon?

So I did a little research. Wrote to Rimmel, a division of Coty. Here is the long and short of it: They market internationally. They have flooded US stores with the Scandal Eyes line BUT THEY ONLY MARKET SHARPENERS IN EUROPE AND OTHER COUNTRIES. They "generously" mailed me this flimsy looking dual sharpener which actually works! This item could not possibly cost more than 15 CENTS to make. WHY they did not include it with the crayon, or market it with the crayon, escapes me.

Great product. Thoughtless Manufacturer. For that reason, I will never buy Rimmel products again and I would not recommend this item to anyone.

So I saw a commerical for these Rimmel eyeshadow sticks on TV and thought the colours were beautiful. They are in the same kind of packaging as the NYX jumbo pencils which is alright, I mean it gives you the control of a pencil but the stick is so large you need a giant sharpener to get more product and I hate that. The price for these sticks is awesome, it's only around $5ish which is a great price for drugstore in Canada. It claims to be waterproof but it really wasn't that hard to wash off but it did leave a little bit of residue on my eye even after washing it. But the colour of this stick is such a gorgeous intense turquoise, no shimmer in it but it isn't matte, it's more of a satiny finish. It also glided on beautifully and you don't need to layer and layer and press hard to get the true colour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for creaseless beautiful eyeshadow sticks that can also be doubled as a base for eyeshadow for a good price!!
