ColorIcon Blush - Mellow Wine

I love this colour, i only tried one other wet n wild blush which was Pearlescent Pink; it was pretty but too bright and just didnt look good on me. This is a toned down nude apricot shade. It is more of a sheer blush but can be easily built for a more pigmented look. If you have lighter skin i do recommend using a light hand with it because it can look really intense on lighter skin tones. This is perfect with a lot of different lip colours i love how it looks with warm nude and berry lipsticks. Recently they changed the packaging to a rounded which looks really nice and is better then the old one but it can be difficult to open

I just love love this blush. I have mine in pearlecent pink and mellow wine. Pearlecent pink: My everyday go to blush. A warm peachy pink shade with a little bit of gold shimmers but the shimmers appear very subtle and natural on the face. It seems like a natural/subtle highlight. Mellow wine: My go to glam day looks. A corally blush, suitable for any skin tone. I sometimes apply this shade on friends with fair skin tones with a very light hand and even heavily recommended this blush to others with deeper skin tones. What I Love: - super affordable, very cheap <3 - gorgeous color selection, suitable for any skin tone. - It is very pigmented and buildable, a little goes a long way. When applying it on fair skin customers, i use a very light hand. It looked absolutely gorgeous. I love love using this blush for my clients. - Blendable. - Lasts a very long time on the skin. It fades very gracefully and pretty looking. - The product lasts for a very long time. To this day (Dec 2019), i still haven't able to use it up and i wear this blush every single day. - This blush made me not want to purchase other blushes because of the colour and quality of it. What Bothered Me: - The packaging & and the product itself is super fragile. I have broken both of my wet n wild blushes inside my makeup bag. i repackaged both if it in small empty jars. it collided with other makeup products in my makeup bag when i went travelling. So, be careful kay. Some other Cons i don't really mind: - Comes with a flimsy and useless brush. - Doesn't include a mirror. For those who struggled using this product, i got some tips for you: - Because of the blush being pigmented, go a light hand. Tap some off the brush before applying / apply some on to the hand first before applying to face if you have fair skin tone. - Eventually prepare a much better empty jar or blush pot to repackage the blush because of its thin and fragile packaging.

This is a matte finish, subdued, medium peach tone. It looks like a nude peach tone on me ( NC 42-43 skintone), and I don't need to build it up for it to show up. I apply this lightly, because it can be overdone SO fast because it's so pigmented. The blush is very smooth and soft, so color picks up super easy with a brush (which I love). I hate blushes that are hard pans and I have to scratch at them to get color. This is not one of those. I like that the pan is nice and big as well, and that it comes with a tiny brush; in a pinch I could totally use that brush because it's quite soft. I like it and I would repurchase even though I wish it was a smidge more apricot toned (orange ) than peach. The only con to me is that most of the Wet n Wild packaging ends up breaking up on me at the hinge, but that happens to me with all my drugstore makeup with the exception perhaps of my Maybelline sculpting palette. I end up holding everything closed with rubber bands. But I'm on a budget and thats a flaw I can work around. At this price point I will not take a lippie off for that.

I love this blush! It’s so smooth and easy to apply without becoming blotchy or hard to blend. The warm peachy brick shade is so pretty (I borrowed that description from another review because it captures it perfectly). I had kind of forgotten I had it and I rediscovered it today. I’m so glad I did, it’s just lovely.

Got this one as a mini in a set, and heard that Pearlescent Pink is a dupe for Nars' famous Orgasm shade. Pigmentation 10/10. Blending Quality 9/10. Longlasting Power 9/10. Shades for everyone. Yeet.

The color is perfect. It goes on smooth and is neutral enough for almost any makeup look. I was debating between this and a more expensive blush, and I am glad I tried this. I like that it is matte, but still smooth and buildable.

I got this recently at Walgreen's for $2.99 and I love it so much! It's a warm apricot shade that has a hint of red in it. The blush blends out perfectly on my skin and is never patchy. It has great pigmentation and isn't too pigmented that you can't use it. I can't wait to buy more of these!

Note that this review is for the NEW version, not the one pictured. I don't know why I didn't believe my eyes, but this is NOT any kind of "wine" color I'm familiar with. I suppose it might be nice on warm skin tones, which I am not; it is not workable for me, I already have lots of blush (including better neutral-warmish shades for me) and this is going in the discard/give away pile. Note that I got the Essence Satin Touch blush in Satin Love at the same time, and it's much closer to what I want out of a neutral, natural-looking blush, less dirty apricot and more softly browned peaches.

This is a brick-apricot shade. It's matte and well-pigmented, smooth, not too much kick up, doesn't look powdery on. I just don't know what to wear this with! I guess I have some red lipsticks that lean brick red that I will try with this one. If I wear a teeny tiny bit it looks like a natural-reddish flush (I'm pale yellow/olive), but if I layer a bit it really comes across as a muted terracotta shade. And...I guess I was expecting more of a berry-wine shade. Most of my wardrobe is clear/bright/cool shades so this one will be tricky to work into my rotation regularly. Maybe in the fall? Edit: Yes, this will work for me, but only on select occasions when I'm doing more 'mature' muted makeup...and in the fall/winter probably.
