The notes of this cologne really excited me because they sounded original and interesting: basil, dandelion, black currant, jasmine, cyclamen, gaiac wood, musk, amber. I was expecting something green and herbal with a woody floral drydown. It sounded amazing in my head. Unfortunately, the translation to my nose in the real world did not quite live up to my imaginings. Don't get me wrong, it's an entirely pleasant scent. It starts out smelling of bergamot to me - no basil, dandelion, or currant. The jasmine is almost immediately apparent. It's a soft, gentle jasmine - no indoles here. The jasmine persists into the drydown, with hints of amber and wood, and finally a whole lotta musk. Worth trying? If you're in the market for a nice jasmine with a few bells and whistles, definitely. But go into it expecting something very different from what the ad copy says.

Very green; however, none of the bitterness I sometimes get with galbanum. What was really interesting was that it cleared nasal congestion so that I could breath. I'll probably buy a feature just for that. Before I noticed that, I was thinking that it bore some resemblence to a stronger Bel Respiro, but more green and not as sweet. The drydown is a lovely combo of gaiac, amber, musk. Soft, warm, cuddly. Notes: Dandelion, Jasmine, Galbanum, basil, cassis
