I bought this secondhand so i paid not much for my 30ml bottle.my first impression of the perfume was: this smells like a flower-shop!then it reminded me of the perfumes my mum used to love and still does, the old ones from the 80s. It reminds me somehow of Beautiful and Alliage (Estee Lauder)then it started to melt with my skin and become light and sweet, powdery. I like it! it is not what I usually wear but it makes me feel elegant and sexy

I love love love this perfume and is one of my favourite AP perfumes.I cannot begin to describe this one as its like no other perfume on the market. Its incredibly long lasting and draws compliments from men and women. I also have the Petale noir elixer body lotion and its smells exactly the same as the perfume which is unusual as I find most body lotions do not smell much like the perfume. I really cannot get enough of this perfume and is now my signature scent.

I got this at Ross for $14.99,what I steal...hardley...the packaging is so cheap it fell apart before I even got it home. The chain broke and the vaporiser part broke off.The smell is very very musky.I thought I liked it...but then a headache and nausea set in....I just don't know about this one....

I got this as a gift with Agent Provocateur Maitresse and was so excited as I have wanted to try them for ages. What a disappointment. The Petale Noir smelled like Urine and the Maitresse just smells old like its turned rancid. I don't know whether its my PH as its strange that they both smell bad on me but I could not wait to wash them off. They left me with a headache. I really did give them a chance and waited to see if they turned in this sexy provocative perfume I have heard about but no, the smell got worse. My Husband said I smelt like an old lady..hardly sexy!

There is nothing noir about this fragrance! It's just another nice soft floral. I love wearing it because it's a pretty scent, but don't expect to feel sexy! Would I buy it again? I doubt it. The 1.7 bottle I purchased is still quite full. It will take me a year or two at this rate to use it up. It's just not something I reach for. I do like it and would recommend investing in a sample at least. But at full price-never! Too many cheaper alternatives!

This is the third scent in Agent Provocaeteurs unholy trio of frgrances. First there was Agent Provocateur then came Maitresse and now there is Petale Noir and Petale Noir is along the same lines as the first two. Wicked and haunting and naughty. The fragrance is floral (roses) and thorney. Like a beautiful red rose in full bloom...thorns and all. It is not just floral though. It is damp dirt, moss, and Norwegian forrest all in one bottle. I like to imagine a hooker waking through this said Norwegian forrest in black fishnet stockings, a garter belt, bustier, and five inch high heels looking for a lonely mountain man to offer her services to while wearing Petale Noir.

Warm floral with freshness, completely and utterly feminine, sexy and sultry without any animalic qualities. Heady florals are my thing, and it's a new favorite. I. Love. This.

A word about the packaging. It's the typical egg that we are used to from AG. Don't ask me why, I love their egg. The color of the bottle changed. It's more peachy rose and it's translucide. It's got a chain around the collar, which makes the whole thing pretty and sassy. Overall, I enjoy the bottle and the perfume very much. The smell last on the skin, for more than 4 hours. The smell is classic and feminine, not too sexy or provocative, just pretty and rosy with a little green thing that gives it a sexy hint. What I like is that you don't feel the boozy effect of the rose. It's typical from black rose in perfumery. I somehow prefer black rose than red rose, which I find too "mature" for me. The spicy side is quite light, yet adds a little depth to the fragrance. They say it's woody, but I don't feel it's too woody. It's rather musky. My impression : first when I sprayed it on me, I didn't like it. Something with the head notes made it look "cheap". But less than half an hour later, my wrist passed by my nose by chance and from then on, I haven't been able to stop smelling it. It's really pleasant and easy going. If you are feeling like wearing a rosy perfume, this is one to try. It's "woman" perfume, not girl, yet not too lady either. I gonna wear it from time to time. But I still prefer Agent Provocateur. This one is a little bit inspired by Agent Provocateur, but not quite. Maybe it makes you feel lighter, or younger, frescher than AP. But if you like AP, you will like this one, very similar. Try it! Who knows, with time I might prefer this one...
