If you can get your hands on this product, do it. You will NOT be disappointed. This formula is wonderful: extremely silky and highly pigmented, and each color barely needs to be patted on for maximum payoff. Chanel's palettes can be hit or miss, but Harmonie du Soir is wonderful. I'm currently debating whether or not I should get a backup because I've fallen for each shade individually, and of course they work beautifully together. If you're cool toned and love vampy, girly eye looks, go for it before there's no more left to find!

I got this as fast as I could because I missed out on Topkapi last time and had to pay the ridiculous eBay prices. I still don't have the guts to use my Topkapi because it costed me so much...Anyway, I've been excited about this for MONTHS because this is supposed to have the same formula, and it is supposed to be heavenly. To be honest, not really, but I'm biased. Ever since I tried out Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows, I've been bored and disappointed with most eyeshadow formulas. They're simply not as buttery, soft, and pigmented. The formula of this palette is not *creamy* per se, but the color it applies is so rich, there's none of that powdery pigment (that feels a tad filler-ish) as there is in other Chanel shadows. The shadows apply well, and unlike the other reviewer I've had no problems with fallout. They also blend like a dream. It's quite user friendly, since unlike RBR you'll have a hard time gettting it to overblend, yet it takes very little work to rid yourself of harsh lines. You do need a stiffer brush, the soft fluffy squirrel brushes like Hakuhodo G515 will take you many swipes and require too much patience. I like my weasel, kolinsky, and sable brushes best for this palette, and blend with a goat brush like Hakuhodo J5523. I've also had no trouble picking up pigment with coarser goat brushes like the Lowe Cornell Maxine Mop. All in all it's a great palette for the holidays, and follows the trend this fall/winter with the cranberry color. Many palette photos online are misleading, including Chanel's own. The colors are much richer and more vibrant in person, they're just metallic so that they look washed out in pictures. The formula is still the best I've tried from Chanel, and very user friendly, but if RBR came out with the same colors I'd place an order and never look back. UPDATE: October 2013This is a palette I'm still whipping out for fall/winter, the beautiful cranberry shade simply cannot be beat. It looks a little one dimensional on it's own (although very shiny and vibrant) but with the taupe layered underneath it created great depth with beautiful jeweled toned color. I get compliments 50% of the time I wear this.

Huge dissapointment. All colors are very shiny, including ones typically dark enough to wear in/above the crease. A lot of fallout, uneven pigmentation, and .14 oz total for $65. I do think Urban Decay makes better e/s's, and all colors are dupeable. Bought based on Templatia rating.
