I really enjoy this shampoo. I have been using it for about 2 months . I feel like Matrix products dont get recognized as much as say Redken or Lanza . This a wonderful mositurizing shampoo. My hair type is very damaged, dry frizzy an this shampoo just makes my hair feel amazing so much that i bought the liter at ulta. My hair recently went through a horrible ordeal. My hair got chemically burned . I trusted someone who was licensed working out of her kitchen an she destroyed my hair. I lost some hair an I had so many split ends an pieces of hair that just broke off. It was awful. I finally went to a high end salon where they fixed what they could an matrix moisture shampoo was recommended. Im so glad I found this shampoo. What a difference works better then my redken all soft an my Lanza moisturising shamppo. Highly recommend!! What a difference!!

This is such a good shampoo! Doesn't weigh down my hair, smells nice, leaves hair moisturized as promised. My hair is very weak and damaged at the moment from multiple bleaches, so I was surprised to find a good shampoo for it. I use it together with Urtekram Nordic Birch shampoo and the Aussie 3 minute mask pre and post wash and some coconut oil, works very well! Give it a try if you are treating your hair like I did!

This is a great deal if you can get this at the Ulta Liter sale. I love the matching conditioner, the shampoo is nice too. It does a good job of balancing between giving moisture and not weighing down your hair. The only reason I took a lippie off is that my hair is colored. And for one set between colorings (3 months), I used this and a generic "color safe" shampoo but they both had sulfates. And for the first time ever, my 3n hair looked brassy in spots. So, maybe it was just one of those things and they are not connected, but to be safe, I am trying to use just sulfate free stuff right now to see if it makes a difference. But if this is not a concern for you, this is a great shampoo.

I have used this shampoo in the past and I will likely be repurchasing this in the future. It is a great gentle shampoo, but one that doesn't leave the hair heavy, weighed down, or greasy. Cleaning without stripping is exactly what I want in a shampoo, and this one delivers. It removes all oil and product without feeling like your hair has been dehydrated. I flip around products a lot, but always return to this one. My hair is rather fine and a bit thick, curly, and blonde. Very fine, thin hair may find it too heavy, but it is good for those who struggle with oily roots and dry lengths.
I cannot quite recall the scent, but I think I remember it being plain, mildly sweet/floral and inoffensive.
I docked marks on packaging due to the fact that the larger bottles(1L size I think..) don't have a pump. It can be difficult to squeeze the amount you need when the bottle is so heavy and slippery, and I dropped mine often. This is a problem not just within the Matrix brand, but it is still annoying.
As far as the price, it really isn't bad. At my salon, the shampoo and conditioner duo is about 40$ Canadian, for the litre sized bottles.
In summation, this is just a great, reasonably priced shampoo for almost any hair type.

Why do these not come with a pump? That is really my only problem.

I would not call this a super moisture shampoo (same for the conditioner). For me it gives just enough. I'm not big on shampoos with cones and protein. I'll use them but I don't feel clean with cones. Don't get me wrong I love a good cone in all my after products.

This cleans and does not strip my color but I have dark burgundy brown hair so it is bound to remove some color.

I started using this so long ago and never even look at other shampoos anymore. If they stopped making this I would be lost.

Smell is rather faint but a nice clean fragrance.

Picked this out on a whim and so far I like it. It gives a low lather, but cleans well and doesn't leave my hair feeling dry. It is certainly not the most moisturizing shampoo I have used but it does what it says it will do. It has a light, clean floral scent that does not really linger once my hair is finished air-drying. It has a pearlescent color and the consistency is pretty thick. I don't have the matching conditioner, so I can't say if they make a great duo but this has worked well with some of my other conditioners. My hair is not let matted or dull with oily residue. Overall, it is working out for me. I will have to see if I can find the Logics moisture shampoo in the Matrix line and do a comparison. Will update soon

Super shampoo! My newest fav! Cleans well without stripping color, washes out all products including my Paul Mitchell freeze and shine (on big hair days).
My hair is soft and shiny, but not limp or greasy. It makes my hair feel better every day.
Sometimes shampoo can may my face breakout around my hairline, or on the sides of my face,.but no reactions from this brand. Love the smell...love everything about this product!
