After reading the reviews below, I felt like I had to chime in as I agree with some of both the positive AND the negative descriptions here. Finish: If I could change just one thing about this product, it would be to make it a little *less* dewy-finished. I have combination skin which tends toward more oiliness on my nose in the warmer months, so this might just be my skin, but I would love for it to be just slightly less shiny, yet not really matte like the Pure version (to which I had a mild allergic reaction). That said, when mixed with another foundation that is too heavy or too matte, it's heavenly. Mixing is not something I do every day, but I have worn it mixed with L'Oreal True Match in C1 for special occassions and this creates the perfect finish and coverage. But either way, when in doubt, do set it with powder. As I am not a huge fan of the "dewy" look, this is what I do most of the time. Coverage: Yes, by itself this BB cream is light-coverage, but buildable to medium-light. It's for the most part a sheer product - hence why they call it a BB cream and not a foundation - so I tend to reserve this for those casual, everyday makeup days. Claims: BB creams tend to claim to be some form of skincare hybrid, and this one's no exception. While I believe the claims to be slightly over-hyped, and I wouldn't call this a skincare item per se, I *would* call it a tinted moisturizer. I agree with the reviewer below that that's basically what this is, when compared with heavier BB creams (like Garnier's, which, while I am often a fan of Garnier products, was a total nightmare of heavy matte yellow-y goop on my sensitive/combo, fair cool-toned complexion). But that's the beauty of this product. It's light. Isn't that why we buy BB cream? We want something other than a full-coverage foundation. And as a tinted moisturizer, it delivers. Even without another moisturizer underneath, this has enough moisture all on its own for daytime, at least for my skin type. And it plays nice with concealer for those places where you may wish to add more coverage. As for the SPF claim, I would ONLY trust this for the most incidental, off-season, sun-avoiding exposure to the sun. If you're going to be outdoors for any length of time, don't trust any foundation-type product as your only form of sunscreen. New Formula: I have to respectfully yet heartily disagree with the review that compared this to "pink glue". That's not the case, in fact, I went through two tubes of this product before the reformulation, and honestly? I find absolutely *no* difference in it at all. And that's coming from someone who not only has sensitive skin, but also sensitivity to how products feel on the skin. If there was any appreciable change at all to the feel and finish of the formula, trust me, my finicky skin would let me know. The only ingredient change was, evidently, the addition of "pomegranate extract". I'm sure this was an attempt to make the product more skincare-like by upping the antioxidants a little bit, but as it's a very little bit I'm sure, it's definitely not enough to make it any more "pink" than it already was. I also had a little bit left of the old tube, and I swatched them both to be sure of any discrepancies. Suffice it to say, the receipt I was holding onto just in case has long since gone out with the daily trash. I have to wonder how much the reviewer was trying to pile onto her face, because I don't find it to be sticky at all. It's just as smooth as it ever was. Overall: My review adds up to 4 lippies. It's a nice little product for what it is - an everyday, casual, lightweight tinted moisturizer product for those days where all you want is a little evening-out of your skintone, a little moisture without tons of layers of stuff, and a more primer-like canvas for your daily makeup look. This is not a full-coverage, special occassion product all on its own. And if your skin is combination or oily, it may not be to your liking as it IS moisturizing (lightly so, in that fresh gel-like sort of way, which I happen to like) and dewy, rather than matte. So either set this with powder, or try the Pure version with the blue cap if your skin is ok with salicylic acid. In general, it does live up to its name of "Fresh", because of that nice light gel-like texture that melts into your skin. I hope they don't change that and try to make it more heavy, cakey, and yellow like other BB creams out there - because then, yes, I'd be the first one to update this review to say that they must've thickened it up with some heavy duty yellow glue. Don't mess with a good thing, Maybelline! Some of us actually like the gel-like texture and pink undertones, which are notoriously hard to find at the drugstore.

My overall rating is a "3" but I would not repurchase. Like other previous reviewers, I find the coverage extremely sheer and it has a very shiny finish. This looks either glowy or greasy in pictures depending on the weather and humidity. I like a glowy finish but in one picture that I'm wearing this in, I look like a greaseball. What I really disliked about this is that I got one of the worst sunburns wearing this up in the mountains hiking instead of my SPF lotion. SPF30? I think not. I had this on for a 2 hr hike and got terribly burned. Do not trust the SPF on this. I'd say this has about as much coverage as a tinted moisturizer, not a BB cream.I have the Medium Sheer Tint and am an NC30/C3.

Bought this because it said it was a new/improved formula. What I hated about the original formula: it was too sheer, it was too greasy. What I hate about this new formula: it is too sheer, it is too greasy. $9 wasted...again!

Average. don't hate it, don't love it. Does an ok job of smoothing out skin appearance. Sometimes I use it as a foundation when i run out. works just fine.

To be honest, I bought this a while back and HATED IT! I found the shade not too accommodating when it came to warmer skin tones and overall found that this BB cream did near nothing for me. I much prefer, the Clinique City block (although it sunblock, its tinted and moisturising as well). I would defiantly not be purchasing this ever again.

I absolutely love this cream! The color is accurate to what it looks like on the label. A little bit goes a long way and it is great for smoothing out uneven skin tone and hiding large porse. I find that it dries well and doesn't feel heavy or cakey, even if you accidentally use too much. It stays on well, even after a hot sweaty summer day and some time in the pool. I would highly recommend this product, especially for the price.

It blends in well. I have been using this product from 4 years. Good for everyday use (school or work). Light coverage. Does not feel heavy at all. Would recommend this to anyone! Love it!

i personally loved this product. it's very light weight on the skin and sometimes i forget that i have anything on. As for coverage i don't recommend it for people who want a lot of coverage since this gives a very natural look and gives a light to medium coverage.
i love using this in the summer, it's very light and i love the natural glow it gives.... i'm on my 3rd tube now and i would definitly continur re-purchasing (one of my fav bb creams out there)

This product is good for light/natural makeup days. I find the finish is satin, not dewy and not matte. It looks very natural on the skin but does have a tacky feel that doesn't really go away. It offers a nice light coverage perfect for evening out skin tone and wears nicely throughout the day.

I gave this product a try during summertime, when wearing foundation becomes unbearable for me. This BB cream is pure perfection! It offers medium coverage, sun protection and it gives your skin a beautiful glow that comes off naturally! I usually apply it with my fingers,as the texture is really lightweight and you do not really need a brush or a sponge. I love this product and I am going to repurchase it again, for sure!
