A very nice happy, sunny yellow ! The formula is nothing special, but its not bad by many means. I had no problems with sheerness which happens often with light colours. And its dirt cheap, so no guilt for adding another polish to the collection.

Essence Colour&Go nail polish in Wanna Be Your Sunshine is a fast drying, bright, sunny yellow. Wanna Be Your Sunshine is one of Essence's new, limited edition summer shades. Essence doesn't offer any information about the formula, or a list of ingredients, which is unfortunate. What is fortunate though, is that Essence does not test any of their products on animals. Essence is a German brand, but this particular product was made in France. Essences is available in just about any drugstore in Europe, and can be found in Ulta and Fred Meyer in the USA, as well as Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. I purchased this polish at Ulta for .99 for .16 fl oz of product. Essence Colour&Go polishes come in an itsy bitsy little bottle that looks pretty childish. The bottles are round and made of glass, and are topped off with plastic caps that match the color of the nail polish. I have issues with the cap. First off, it's very small and kinda slick, making it hard to get a firm grasp. Secondly, the cap detaches from the top of the brush very easily. In Sunshine's case, it detached the very first time I tried to open it. Quality failure. But honestly, I'm not sure if you can expect epic packaging from any product that sells for a dollar. Essences describes the brush as flat, and that it is. It's also surprisingly long for belonging to a mini polish. The brush that comes with Sunshine has one bristle that's significantly longer than the rest, which causes a weird line in the polish. I just pulled said bristle out, therefore solving the issue. Aside from being flat and kinda long, Colour&Go brushes are quite stiff, so application isn't the best.Wanna Be Your Sunshine needs at least 3 coats to achieve opacity, and has many of the same issues most yellow polishes have. The first two coats are sheer and streaky, and tend to separate in a really weird way that I've never seen before. The third coast adds a good amount of opacity, but still kinda has that weird streaky, semi-separated appearance. Don't most yellows do that though? Wanna Be Your Sunshine is a bright, sunny yellow, that could be considered nearly neon by some. Though it has a slight neon aspect, it isn't tinged green at all like some ultra bright yellows. Sunshine is definitely a warm, clear, true yellow. Sunshine has an awkward, semi frosty, semi shimmery finish that didn't really translate in photos. If you're going to be a sunny yellow polish, you should be a cream finish, or maybe a shimmer, but you don't need to get all crazy and frosty. You're already yellow, people are going to notice you, calm down bro. Essence tried a little too hard on this one. Essence Colour&Go polishes promise to be dry in 60 seconds or less, and they actually are. Many fast dry polishes fail to deliver on their claims, but Colour&Goes consistently dry quickly.Wear times for Essence Colour&Go polishes vary from shade to shade and application to application. Unfortunately Sunshine peeled off, whole nail, within 24 hours of application. This didn't just happen once, but four times! That's really disappointing but not too surprising, considering how many thick coats of polish you need to apply. Essence polishes in general don't seem to stand up well to water, and it definitely seems like moisture is Sunshine's downfall as well. Sunshine also leaves a lovely yellow stain on your nails, giving the appearance of a fungal infection. Cute!I can't recommend Essence's Colour&Go nail polish in Wanna Be Your Sunshine, unless by the off chance you're looking for a frosty bright yellow that doesn't need to last too long. The wear is poor, the finish is borderline bizarre, the packaging is cheap, and it stains. There isn't too much positive stuff I can say about this polish, other than there's something kinda charming about wearing yellow nail polish, even though it has it's faults. Perhaps give Sunshine a try if you're curious about how yellow nail polish will look on you. After all, this polish is only a buck. I guess it just comes down to how much you value a dollar. I value a dollar a lot, and wouldn't repurchase this polish.
