The Khadi Handmade soaps claim to be pure, herbal.
I bought the rose, lavender and khus soaps. At first, I really liked them - I also assumed they would be free of animal fat content. Like all products 'herbal' they had a halo around them so that I hadn't bothered to check the ingredients.

Here is a list of the ingredients in the rose 'herbal' soap - TALLOW, extracts of rose, neem, lime, methyl, propyl PARABEN!

This 'herbal' soap is also one of the most expensive bar-soaps in India. Packaging is terrible. The soap scent diminishes in 3-4 days after opening for use. The soap doesn't retain it's shape and leaks a lot - quickly turning into a slimy, gooey mess.

The only good thing about this soap is it claims to have high glycerine content. But it is not at all moisturizing - at least for me.
