I, like others, bought this for the absolutely stunning tin. I couldn't really afford it but I'm a bit of a tin addict haha. The cream smells a bit 'off' it's a shame it's not more pleasantly perfumed. Its good that the stuff can be used for my feet, nipples, lips of face ;-) one cream for all uses! Great... Or so I thought. I've only had it about 3 weeks and it lives on my bedside table and each time I open it I have to use a tissue to dab out the bits of cream that have turned an ugly grey colour. I don't know if it's the lack of decent preservatives but I have clean hand when I use it yet it seems to have this creeping tendency to go 'off', well to be honest I dunno if it really is going off but it doesn't look very nice!I noticed reading the other reviews that no one else mentioned this issue so maybe I've been unlucky or some small child had dipped dirty fingers into it when I want looking (he denies this). Hummm I've put that I wouldn't buy again but maybe if I had a much better income then I 'might ' buy another tin to just try and see if I have got a bad batch 😕.

I love this cream! Being a girl on the go and only purchasing cruelty-free products I think of the animals first then convenience/performance. The fact that this cream contains no preservatives, no nasty animal testing processes (unlike L'Oreal, Vichy, Dior, Olay etc etc) is a real bonus. The product is calming, balancing and moisturising. The first day I used it I woke up with REALLY improved skin. I mean seriously improved. I even used it on the skin around my eyes and I had no puffiness or irritation. Just calm, healthy skin. I looked rested and revitalised. I use it under makeup and it holds well, creating an even base. I usually have a problem with shine but because this moisturiser is so good at balancing I haven't had that as much.A little goes a long way and there's no need to rub in too much - it'll absorb in its own time. For the price it lasts ages and you get the lovely little tins which are very cute to keep. The only thing I would say is because of its high concentration of lavender essential oil, it might be ever so slightly irritating for extremely sensitive skins. But if you have generally sensitive skin like mine you should be fine.Am definitely keeping this as my moisturiser of choice based on its ethical nature, convenience and performance!

This is my daily moisturiser, and I love it. It's just the right 'weight' for me - not too greasy, but noticeably softens and eases my skin. lightly scented, with a clean lavender/orange scent. Great for travel for a few nights as it doubles up as hand cream and body moisturiser, all in the same tin, saving room in your 311 bag.The tin designs are lovely too.

I only used it on my body (and sometimes on really dry patches on my face and neck) but one thing was for sure - this stuff is really greasy and pretty much stays on the surface of my skin for the most part of the day. There are much better body moisturisers out there that cost less per ounce of product. You can safely skip this one.

I didn't feel that this product had any redeeming features that would make me repurchase. It just didn't do anything. My face felt greasy and by the morning, it'd be slick. The smell was just odd. It also never felt like it was fully absorbed. It had no big reaction and I think it actually caused me to break out a little.

I was a very loyal fan (bought and finished 3 tins) until recently when some freak SPF/Sun allergy that I've never had threw me off course. This used to be my go-to moisturizer. It was enough for dry winters, and still great for the summer if I applied less. I'm really sad now that it doesn't really work for my skin, because it made my skincare routine so simple - I never bothered with multiple products, just cleanser toner and this and I was done. The only thing off-putting for most people is that since it's a huge tin you have to dip your finger in... I used to be okay with it but now I have to be extra careful with my skin because it just gets sensitive and flaky for seemingly no reason!I still really like Steam Cream though, will probably get it as a body/hand cream because I really like the smell and how it's not greasy like body butters but still moisturizing enough. Just not for my face I guess.

I received this in last month's Carmine box and after looking at all the glowing reviews I was excited to try it! I believe it is marketed as a face and body moisturiser... its pretty nice as a body moisturiser but please - if you have any type of skin that has some oil to it, i.e. oily or combination, do NOT put it on your face! I have combination skin and this brought me out in my oily areas - its too oily for the face in my opinion although maybe its ok if you have dry skin! I rarely have break outs no matter what I put on my face but I am covered in spots and blemishes after using this for about 5 days, day and night. Not happy :( However I've found it ok for getting rid of dry skin on my body but at the price (I think its around £10) I'd prefer to use my Body Shop body butters which smell so much nicer! The one really nice thing is the limited edition packaging - nice idea. Apart from that, I'll finish using this on my body but I won't purchase.

STEAM CREAM is called such because the makers use steam to fuse the ingredients together, meaning that the cream will be absorbed into the skin instantly as there are no complex molecules bound together by a powerful emulsifying process in the cream. STEAM CREAM is vegan and is hand-made in small batches using natural ingredients, including Oatmeal, almond oil, lavender essential oil, orange flower water, cocoa butter and organic jojoba oil.STEAM CREAM can be used for the entire body, but I mainly use it on my face as I have very dry skin, so something that is quickly absorbed and gives lasting moisture is a necessity for me. It doesn't battle against wrinkles, or give me a face-lift, but STEAM CREAM is a simple, but highly effective moisturizer.I've been using this daily for over a month now and not only does my naked skin looks noticeably more radiant and hasn't flaked at all. I haven't changed any other product in my skincare regime. Since using STEAM CREAM I haven't suffered from additional breakouts, or had any itches or rashes on my dry and sensitive skin. STEAM CREAM isn't sold in jars; it is sold in 75g reusable decorative tins.
