THIS LIPSTICK IS AMAZING!!!!!!! I have been looking for 8 Years for the perfect baby pink barbie lipstick and i mean LOOKING, SEARCHING EVERYWHERE!!! along with watching countless youtube videos of "the perfect pink lipstick" .... I tried Drug store along with purchasing many high end lipsticks that I couldn't get where I live online to find out when i got them they were not pigmented enough or where not what the swatch suggested the color would be.....Anyways I was just browsing around my mac store and came across Happy Hibiscus and i almost passed out i said to the girl THIS IS IT!! and told her my story and she just laughed. It has a great packaging quality that's sleek, $20 is pricey for the amount of product you get BUT ITS WORTH IT! if you have been looking for a pastel baby pink lipstick! I WOULD DEFIANTLY RECOMMEND THIS LIPSTICK!

I love this lipstick! My lipstick collection consists of nudes/ light pinks and this is the perfect combination. It has a very thick consistency so I have to apply it with my finger but it gives the nicest light pink colouring to my lips. A while back I was using a similar Barry M lipstick in 101 but found it really dried out my lips, since then I've been on a hunt to find a better alternative, and here it is!

I haven't used this straight out of the tube. I know better to even attempt it with my coloring (NC15, dark hair and eyes). However, when I went to get my makeup done by an artist at MAC, he applied Happy Hibiscus over top of Speed Dial, and it gives a whole new dimension to the lips. Applied lightly to the middle of the lips, it gives them such a gorgeous luster and made my already full lips look even fuller. I brought this home with me and have applied it over top of every single lipstick I own and it's just amazing. It just gives them such a sexy glow.

When I first saw this colour, I had to have it. I put it on and I questioned it, but then I really took a look at myself and loved what I saw. It is a milky, pigmented light pink. I like wearing a kitten flick with this, it isn't for everyone, but I love it

The picture on the MAC website that shows Happy Hibiscus does not accurately depict what happens when you use it as a regular lippy. That photo looks like a semi-sheer, partially pigmented Lustre, such as Pretty Please. What you get in the gorgeous, black Happy Hibiscus tube is a highly pigmented very pale opaque lipstick.Edit: after a few weeks of working with Happy Hibiscus, success with this lippy depends on applying it with a brush.I could not ever get it to apply correctly out of the tube, since the formula of my tube is so soft, it would over-apply and then was unworkable by itself. (minus one for this.)Once I tried using a brush I got a really great finish that although light, is really gorgeous. (edit to add: the results you get might depend greatly on your coloring-)I really do prefer this packaging to the usual MAC lippys. The case feels like metal, the silhouette is slim and sophisticated and the product is wide enough to get somewhere yet slim enough to negotiate sharp curves. It does take a pretty good grip to separate the top from the tube. (minus one for that.)If you're looking for a 60's Barbie beach look, or a replacement for the long-gone Revlon Pink-On-White, you might go nuts with Happy Hibiscus.I just got mine today, so it's a bit soon to render a final opinion on it; this might be best used as an ingredient in a layer with a lightly pigmented luster, or applied with a brush over a conditioning balm, or finished with a light lipglass. The texture is comfortable and the scent is the familiar light vanilla, but know in advance that the photo on the MAC website is far different than the results out of the tube, closer to what you get with a brush and a light hand. I like Happy Hibiscus but it is not going to be for everybody.

I ordered this from the MAC website because none of the MAC counters around me carried the new Sheen Supreme lipsticks for whatever reason. I don't know how I did it, but I successfully managed to pick the most horrendous color I've ever seen. (I regret not visiting temptalia's website, first, to see her pics on these.) Happy Hibiscus is a white-pink lipstick that appears on my lips as if I took a white crayon and scribbled all over my lips with it. It's awful! Why would anyone want their lips to look like this, and why did MAC create such a horrible lipstick shade? This does not work for my coloring at all (NW20), and I honestly don't think this shade would work for too many skin tones. I'm thinking, maybe a pale blonde with smokey eyes could wear this... but even that would be hit or miss. I can't even comment on how this lipstick performs or makes your lips feel after wearing it, because I can't keep it on my lips long enough. When I look in the mirror... I get scared and wipe it off! This lipstick is best saved for Halloween or some other costume party where you want to look like a freak- or are dressing up as Ke$ha. This is not a lipstick for "normal" people, or anyone who likes understated makeup. I wish I saved my purchase order so I could return this to MAC. I am so used to liking everything I buy from them that I took for granted that I picked a nice color from the online swatch. Boy- was I ever wrong with THIS choice!
