Dollar store? Yes please! I hate spending $40 to $50 on eyeshadow and then finding out that it's flat, ugly, wrong color, too shimmery, doesn't stay, creases, etc. If I only spend a buck and it's crap, then I *shrug* and hand it off to the daughters to use as play makeup. So this duo in Arctic comes with a champagne lid color and a teddy bear brown crease color. They are finely milled and easy to apply (although the little brush/sponge applicator is cuuuuhhhrap). They have some shimmer but not a ton - and I avoid shimmer for the most part because I am 40 and it highlights the little bit of crepey-ness I have on my eyelids. The champagne color works well as a lid color, corner highlight, and browbone highlight. The brown goes on dark, but can be well blended to make it lighter, or applied with a wet brush to use as a liner as well.Staying power is about what you'd expect - I have a photo showing this duo in a very muted day day look after seven hours (not the greatest lighting). It didn't crease on my eyelids or shower me with stars of shimmer on my cheekbones. All in all, a damn good value for a buck. Unfortunately they only had this for one week - and in this color combo - or I would have stocked up.
