Many people seem to not like this mascara, but I love it!

Personally, I feel like the wand combined with the product does create a LOT of extra formula.
To manage this, I simply scrape off the extra mascara and what is left applies very well to my lashes with no difficulty.

I would suggest not starting TOO far at the base of your lashes with this wand because it can rub in your eye if you arent careful. You also need to pay attention to where the brush is, as I feel it is a fairly long wand, because one part of the brush you aren't using may cause application to be messy.
After I apply around 1 and a half coats to my eyelashes, I use either an eyelash comb or a clean mascara wand to help seperate and neaten up any minor clumps or eyelashes that stuck together.

When applied correctly, my eyelashes get a really nice shape from this mascara. The look I end up getting makes me happy. The lashes look longer, healthier, and more natural without that "spidery" appearence. Combing through after appliction is something I strongly recommend, as it helps give each eyelash hair its own place around your eye, boosting volume.

I feel the people who are getting so many clumps perhaps dont scrape off the extra formula, dont comb through their lashes afterwards, or are trying to put too many coats on.

The color of this mascara is great. I got it in Black instead of Extreme Black and I don't think it even matters. People have complimented how long, dark and pretty it makes my eyelashes look.

The formula itself is great. I think the major flaw in its design is the wand, because it locks in a lot of product when first taken out, as well as stubbornly holding onto some on the tip even after scraping.

However, overall, I've had good luck with this product and I would definitely repurchase this again.
Hope this review helped somebody!

Hey everyone!!Overall I like the mascara and would repurchase maybe one day in future however I would probably want to experiment with other brands first. It gives good volume and length but I just hate that it is so easy to get excess product on eyelids and smears easily if you cry or rub your eyes. I have to be careful when applying to avoid it getting in my eyes/contacts because a lot of product comes out easily. I have been using for about 3 weeks. A tip I would recommend is applying a little dab of olive oil on lashes before applying for a even more dramatic longer lash effect. Imma work with this mascara for a few more months then consider switching when it runs out. Also make sure you clean off on lids at night esp lower lids before bedtime because I have noticed it causing wrinkles in the morning from sleeping in it. Rub some oil underneath eyes as well to prevent that from happening.

First, this claims to have an ingredient that will actually cause you to grow more lashes. I'm calling shenanigans on that. Maybe it does include the ingredient, but there's no way there's enough to affect growth, especially when applied as a mascara (do YOU glob huge amounts of mascara right on your lash follicles? no, me either). So I wasn't actually expecting the lash-growth effect.

I did expect a decent volumizing mascara, though, and this isn't one. It's very thin and watery (even after several weeks' use). And the brush is bizarre -- one flat side and one EXTREMELY curved side. I find it tough to use.

This has gone into my emergency travel bag, because at least it's very easy to remove (no need to pack remover).

I love this stuff! I've been using it for about a month now and I have noticed that my lashes are longer and thicker! It gives me incredible length and does NOT clump what so ever!! HG mascara!!

I bought this mascara for $7.24 which is kinda expensive for rimmel. The mascara is a very wet consistency, but the brush is nice, its tapered fat in the middle and gradients downward into a thin point. One side of the brush is rounded, the other side flat. This mascara does separate will, and I have noticed my lashes do look more numerous, and a bit longer after a month of using this. I think this mascara lengthens and separates for me - more than it does volume. It is a good mascara in my opinion and I *may* purchase it again.....the only thing holding me back is the price and the fact that I have found mascaras way cheaper that have pleased me much more than this mascara. But it isn't bad.

So very disappointed with this mascara. I really really like Rimmel's Lash Accelerator and so was looking forward to the same product but one that built volume. No go. It is the flakiest mascara I've ever used. Couple of hours in, I had actual speckles all under my eyes, in the corners of my eyes...not good at all! Will never buy again. Going back to the original Lash Accelerator and will use it in rotation with Lancome Doll Eyes.

This mascara does give a lot of length and volume, but it is way too much work to make it look good. I found it to be thick and clumpy at the first use so I know after it "matures" it's going to be impossible. I love the packaging and shape of the brush grabs and wings out my lashes very nicely. Because of the shape there is no cheating on my left eye I have to turn the brush the correct way to get the full affect. First, I have to blot off some product on paper. Then I use this mascara followed by another underwhelming Rimmel mascara, Lash Maxxx, to get kinda defined, thick and long lashes, but I always have to clean up a little transfer on my brow bone. If I accidentally get a touch on my lower lashes they look stupidly overdone. I can't attest to the color or ability to hold curl because I have black, naturally curled lashes. I can see this being great for someone with very sparse, fine and short lashes, but for me the results are not worth the effort.

I bought this mascara because I needed a washable mascara instead of using my HG waterproof CG Lash Blast. I feel like using a waterproof mascara 24/7 makes removal difficult and I lose a few lashes sometimes.
Anyway, onto the review. I liked this mascara for a volume mascara. It gave decent volume and quite a bit of length. I'm not sure why everyone complained about the brush because I thought it was simple and easy to use. The bristles are the traditional kind (in Maybelline Great Lash, etc) and not the plastic bristles in newer mascaras. I can't rate its performance for growing my lashes out and making them appear thicker because 99% of the time those statements are just for marketing.
However, there were two reasons why this mascara lost a lippie. 1) This formula is wet wet wet. It takes ages to dry and you'll probably smudge it while it's drying. 2) This doesn't hold curl at all. The more strokes you do with the wand, the heavier it gets and the more your curl droops.
But other than that, this is a good drugstore mascara and it's staying in my makeup bag. :)
