I have tried the color Soft Wheat (NC25), and I wasn’t impressed at how it looked throughout the day. The color was fine but the mineral foundation made my dry skin feel even drier. After several hours, the coverage wasn’t there and the foundation had cracked near my mouth and between my brows. Overall the powder felt dry and didn’t last long.

i really wanted to love love love this foundation because its natural and eco friiendly but but their makeup line is not for those with acne prone skin i believe (mica is the base) and it made my skin more sensitive.
it covers very well not even need to use concealer and feels very light on the skin. but if you have dry or combo like me stay away, it will make your skin more dry. even their liquid foundation didn't work for me. they both broke me out.

I wanted to like this foundation but it just doesn't last on my very oily skin. I ordered a bunch of samples to find my color match. I then ordered full sizes of the primer/finishing powder and the foundation in Soft Wheat. I've been using this for about 2 months. it looks fantastic when first applied and I like that the coverage is buildable. After 2 hours I'm an oily mess and the foundation has broken up and looks awful.

To start off, I'd like to talk about my skin. I'm an NC15 (fair skin) and I find the combination of Northern Light and Atlantic Bisque was a good match for me. I also have oily, acne-prone, blemished skin.

I found that the coverage of this foundation was build-able. You can easily obtain a full coverage. It really covers my blemishes, redness and acne. There is quite a wide range of colors and undertones so I can imagine it is easy to find the right shade by getting the samples to try out, which is reasonably priced. The price of the full size foundation was very reasonable as well at $25 for 10g of product. This foundation gave me a nice sheen and glow. The ingredients are good and non-irritating to the skin. I really liked the ingredients because there were no parabens and other bad ingredients.

The downside of this foundation was that it did not control oil and I got really oily after a few hours of wearing it. When I tried blotting my face, the foundation came off. It's as if the foundation was melting off. The packaging wasn't anything special. It comes with a sifter and a jar with a lid. It is a bit messy to apply just like any mineral foundation powder.

I would not repurchase because it does not suit my oily skin and it does not wear well after several hours.

Pure Anada Mineral Foundation is the first mineral make-up I've found that I can use easily, get good results and that doesn't itch or irritate my face. It doesn't settle in my fine lines and doesn't cake either.

Pure Anada is made in Canada and uses natural ingredients. It is fairly economical as a 10g pot is only $25 CDN and will last several months. They have a pretty extensive array of foundation colours. They offer samples of all their mineral make-up, so you don't have to waste money trying to find your shades. Soft Wheat was a perfect match for me.

I can get a light or full coverage depending on how much I apply. The key to using this with mature skin is to make sure your skin is well hydrated. I use a good moisturizer first, then wait a minute for it to sink in, then apply the mineral foundation using a flat top brush in a buffing motion, just like you do for other mineral foundations.

Made in Canada
Natural Ingredients - no bismuth oxychloride (I have added the ingredient list to this review)
Customizable coverage
Good value for $
Samples available

Packaging is uninteresting and I thought the pot was a little small for handling a large buffing brush.
You really do need a good brush to get good results with this

Overall, I'm very impressed. I thought I couldn't wear mineral make-up but this changed my mind. I really like wearing this. It doesn't feel like I have anything on, but my skin looks fantastic. I actually WANT to put this on everyday, even on "lazy Sundays," and that's really saying something!
