Use any gel polish base coat.3-4 coats of this.finish with gel polish top coat or I sometimes use vinylux top coat.here.you can have this such stunning mind blowing baby on your nails easily and longlasting.Gel polish base will give you such A nice "base"to paint on since this is such a hard to use one,you will find it's much much better.when I have to paint 4 coats sometime.the base really just make the first coat easy.so you still have to be careful with it.I know they have a waterbase just for these but waterbase polish can hardly survive even 3 days on my nails. And this thing on it's own can last like only 1 not even full day...I really love it So I tried so many things trying to make this work.I don't really know are gelbase polish can be use mixed with regular polish...but since this is not "regularly" (as how hard the application can be).......never mind...Top coat.gelbase top coat won't dull it like regular polish topcoat.and it's longlasting.Vinylux top coat is fine too but it will some how dull the holo effect at first.but it won't be dull when it's completely dried.I can't see the different so it's fine. After so many years I'm lucky enough to get an "old"one. The brand is hard to find in my country at the first place.so again.lucky me.Me myself can hardly keep any color on my nails for two days.I want to change them all the time.but not this one.just not this one.I want to keep this one on as long as posibble.Best holo ever.Thank you Nfu oh.

Oh my! I never thought that nail polish can be such a pain to apply! This polish is the case. I tried to apply it with my common nail polish bases (Lumene, Opi and Ibi), I tried it without the base, the result is the same - unevenly polished nails. There are areas where there's no nail polish, as if the polish does not stick to the base/nail, and does not stick to the first layer. I tried two layers, three layers. Nothing! I read in the official site that these halographic polishes should be used with Nfu Oh's Aqua Base, but I had no idea that the polish will not work without it at all :( I am giving it only one lippie, and I am ordering Aqua Base to use with it. We'll see whether it will get better, because the color is really fantastic. And the bottle is awesome!Editing my review: I tried this polish with Nfu Oh's Aqua Base. With Aqua Base the polish lays beautifully and looks simply gorgeous. It really looks WoW! I never had a polish with such a bright holographic effect. But, there is one big BUT. I polished my nails in the evening, and by the lunch of the next day the end of my nails started to chip! It's crazy, it did not stay in place even 24 hours :( I will never buy Nfu halographic polishes ever again.

I am really torn with this polish. I LOVE the final result. But the application is such a pain, it's hard to give this polish higher than 3 stars.Applying this stuff was a nightmare. Streaky, clumpy, baldstpots and, in trying to get it smooth, I made a mess of my cuticles. One good thing is it does dry quite fast, so the multiple layers you need to get it to look smooth can be applied quickly over each other. I used 4-5 coats on each nail to get the opaque look and get rid of streaks (did I mention that this stuff streaks like nobody's business?) and finished with a coat of SV. They do look awesome. I also ordered the aqua base, but it hasn't come in yet. I hoe the application is easier with it. I just used OPI's ridge filling basecoat this time.As much of a pain as the application is, the final result is totally worth it. Amazing linear holo effect. If the formula was a bit better and the application was easier, This would easily get 10 stars from me. I found it weird that I had so much trouble with this polish. I was lucky enough to get a hold of some old China Glazes from the OMG collection. Their application was beautiful and the effect is quite comparable to nfu. I might try the aqua base with those too and see if there's any difference. After I re-attempt this with the proper base, I may change my rating, but right now, simply for the agonizing application process, it gets 3 lippies.Edit: Acquired the aqua base. It does seem to make the application process easier and overall effect more vibrant. Bumping rating to 4 because it looks awesome, but is still kind of a pain and requires an additional product to make it work properly.

When I received this polish I nearly returned it. It looked like every other silver frost polish I had. Then it dried and I was surprised. This is one of the most holographic polishes I had ever seen. I think I spent the better part of a day just staring at my nails whenever light would hit it.•As for application, I didn't purchase the aqua base so I had 2 options; 1) skip the basecoat and risk chipping (this polish seems to work well on a matte surface like your natural nail or the aqua base) or 2) use the "sandwhich method" and get a couple days worth of wear. After much practice I stuck with option 2. First I put on a basecoat (I use Nubar Foundation but I think anything can work) and wait for it to dry. Then I apply the polish with 2 or 3 extremely quick and light flicks of the brush. After the first coat completely dries, add one more coat in the same way. After the second coat dries add your favorite top coat (Seche Vite works better on wet polish so I used Poshe instead). When your top coat dries, add one more coat of Nfu-oh and you're done! Only add the last layer if you think your top coat dulled it. •The rule of thumb for these holo polishes, GOSH and Chanel Holographic included, is to use quick and light flicks just like you would with a topcoat when preventing smears.

I don't have the polish yet, its still in the post. I just know that I'm going to love it so I wanted to write a review and I'll come back and just say how much I knew I 'd love it once it comes. I have the #65 because I like the blue tint to it. Now I'll have the beautiful silver one. EDIT: I can't believe I'm doing this but I had to come take away a lippie. I've been reading how it seems that the formula has changed and I think it might be true. I've never had #61 until now, but it's no where near as holo as the pictures I've seen. In my opinion it seems like the silver base polish is over powering the holo, so they must have cut back on how much of the holo pigment they put in. When I have just one coat on and its in the streaky stage you can see how holo it must have been, but once you add enough coats to get rid of the streaks too much of the silver is on as well that dulls the holo. I'm going to give it a few more wears but I'm probably going to end up forgetting I even own it.

This is probably the best linear holographic polish ever! I was able to get this at regular price ($12.50) but I've seen this sold on eBay for a lot of money. Hopefully you can find this at a decent price because this is an amazing polish to own.The formula is what you would expect for a linear holographic; it's a little tricky to work with. Nfu Oh recommends using their Aqua Base with it as a base coat and inbetween layers. I just skip a base coat all together.I would also recommend skipping a top coat too; almost all top coats will change the holo effect - some just a little and others can change it a lot. You'll just have to play around until you find the right combo. On the plus side, this polish dries super fast. If I'm in a rush I can throw this on in two quick-coats and be out the door with stunning nails.Anytime the sun is shining and I plan to be outdoors I like to throw on a holo polish and this is the queen of all holo polishes!

I love this polish. It is one of my favorites, and I own over 120 bottles. The formula is one of the worst that I have ever encountered. I had been watching fabulousstreet.com for months hoping they would get this color in stock, and when they finally did, the Aqua Base was sold out, so I've tried it with a couple of different base coats and its always a nightmare. If you restroke over any polish that's been laid down, it will CLUMP on the nail. Its a streaky, draggy, nightmare. If you can manage to pull it off, though, it is one of the most fantastic polishes that has ever existed, and I dare you not to look at your hands for hours.

This nailpolish is what all holos aspire to be. When I am wearing it, I can't stop looking down at my hands. It's nearly dangerous to drive because it is so mesmerizing. Even indoors or in the shade, where other so-called holo polishes fail, this little baby shines that beautiful, spectral rainbow like there's no tomorrow. I tried to take a pictures of it but no picture can capture what this beauty looks like in person. If I was grading on color and beauty alone, I wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 lippies. But alas, the formula, application and wear are enough to bumped it down to a mediocre 3. It cuticle drags like crazy! If you manage to overcome the dreaded drag (either by using Nfu-Oh's special Aqua Base or ninja-like nailpolishing techniques) you better sit absolutely still while it dries because even the slightest nudge will expose the naked nail underneath and ruin your manicure. Oh and it takes a very long time to dry (I usually wait a full hour after the last layer) and even when it feels dry to the touch, it is still maleable enough to be nudged and ruined. It chips almost immediately the next day (although I admit I did not use Aqua Base and I hear the wear time is better with it). Regardless, if you are one who wants a manicure to last a solid week, this is not for you. But if you have a Serena Williams-like affinity to nailpolish, get this now for it is one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen.To apply this, I started with two layers of Orly Bonder. One thin layer of #61. And when you apply, never re-stroke any area you just painted - this increases drag. And work fast (I mentioned ninja-like didn't I?) once it starts drying a little, you will experience cuticle drag. Sit absolutely still and let this layer dry as much your patience will allow. Two more coats of Bonder, another thin, non-restroked layer of #61 and that's it. Skip the topcoat as it dimishes the prismatic effect.
