If you own the previous book by Francoise Nars the new one would look like a "photococopy". The format is the same: 2 pictures of the person, before and after make up and a transparent sheet with the specifications of the products that were used and where the product is applied. The text is basically the same as the previous book, The difference is that this time Nars used "real people" (not models or celebrities). The steps are explained in a clear and detailed manner and the looks are divided in three sections - play, perfect and polish (broadly covering the 20s, the 30s and 40s and the 50s+). It is an OK book but nothing special if you have Make up Your Mind (the original). The new version has more wearable looks. I prefer Rae Morris Make Up The Ultimate Guide to the latest creation by Nars. However, if you do not own the original book by Nars it is worth buying the Express Yourself version and get some inspiration for funky or classic looks. I bought it on Amazon as it was cheaper that in the shop.
