I like this shade alot but it is a peachy pink with a thick texture. I bought the Stila all day in bellisimo which is very similar and that is just unwearable.. This is less chalky looking and I like to wear it to the gym where i want a natural color on my lips and something that will stay on.

I have just been getting into NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams (SMLC) [im a little late ikr]. "Tokyo" & "Sydney" were my most recent purchases at Ulta (I ordered 3 more from Ulta.com too that they didn't have!). Ahh Tokyo well the tube was a little drier than some of the other SMLC's but workable. This is a lovely pale cool toned pink. Sydney is more lavender-lilac but Tokyo actually is becoming a fast fave. Those 2 are prob the palest of the SMLC. They are not too bright like neon just stand out coz such pale opaque colors NYX Strawberry Milk is same way. It's a def unexpectedness of a surprising hue. I mean who doesn't look fresh to death in a beautiful pale pink lipstick?! It wakes up my whole face, makes my grey eyes pop (I use brown colors for the rest of my makeup liner mascara e/s bronzer...). Maybe coz I put it on in thin coats (but OT Transylvania hardly looks natural on me OTOH! Chapstick looks natural). I think Tokyo is such a cute color w an apt name, the color reminds me of Sanrio hello kitty! NYX was good at naming their colors I feel like each cities' color is a good representation I'd love to see a Munich or Düsseldorf represented. The price pointe on this isn't bad $6 n cruelty-free. When I get my Ulta order I will have about 7 or 8 of these I did not want San Paulo, Monte Carlo, Transylvania, Copenhagen nor Addis Abba.

I tried to make this work many times but it just looked blah. The color is beautiful but the formula sucks.

This colour is great on me - I'm fair with cool undertones, and it's a pretty (very bright) opaque baby pink. Just what I was looking for.
Unfortunately the formula leaves a bit to be desired. It's a little streaky upon application, but the main issue is that it sinks into every crack in my lips, even after moisturizing and priming. It looks great from a distance, but up close it's obvious how "chunky" it appears as it crumbles around the edges with wear.
I'm going to try and make this work for me, but I feel like it'll require a lot of maintenance throughout the day. It's also the most drying matte product I've ever tried.

really pretty. I have very fair skin and this looks like a pale pink/peach on me. very different than what I've seen on pictures of people with skin not as fair. I really like it.

I've tried many lip glosses in my lifetime, from high end to low and from glossy to matte. This is by far the WORST. I'm brown skinned and thought the color wasnt too bad on me but the texture is horrible horrible horrible. Unless you have super duper smooth lips, this lip cream will settle into every single line on your lips. I might as well smear pink frosting on my lips. If this works for you, then great. But i agree with one reviewer, if you feel stuck with a useless item that you paid $7 for then mix it with a pale gloss to smoothen it out.

I got this for $3.88 at CVS with $3 bucks back for Black Friday. This color is a BRIGHT pink. It's lighter-ish but I wouldn't call it soft pink because of it's BRIGHTNESS (unless you have super pigmented lips or a darker skin tone). Pepto Bismal is the best comparison for color reference. Anime enthusiasts, cosplay fans, or ravers would LOVE this color but I see it looking cheap on most skin tones unless you mix it with a liner or top it with gloss. If you bought this and feel stuck only use ONE coat and mix with a pale gloss to tone down the brightness and you could get a decent pinky shade. I mixed with NYC lip gloss. I agree it streaks and may take some practice to apply properly especially if you have a lot of lines on your lips. If you're a raver, live in Tokyo, or have a darker pigmentation/complexion GO FOR IT but if not there are so many more flattering economical glosses to try. (NYC-Prospect Pink, Brighton Beach Peach, NYC Jumbo lip Plumper Glosses...NYX- butter gloss in Crème Brulee or Éclair).

This color seems to be one that works for some people and doesn't for others. But if you're like me, with very light skin with cool undertones, this is a nice, pretty, matte pink that reminds me of the old Dubble Bubble gum you'd get on Halloween as a kid, but without looking too obnoxious- it still looks like it could plausibly be my actual lip color. One star off, though, because the smell is, in my opinion, too strong. It's not really a bad scent, but I smell it for hours whenever I wear this.

i love this product! the packaging's nice and it has a lot of product. the only complaint i have about this is i have olive skin, and this pink is so pigmented when i put it on my lips that it looks fake. tokyo is a baby pink with blue undertones, but it looks fake if you full on swipe it if you have darker skin. i think this is a beautiful color though. i love that it's matte, it looks so good on your lips and it's actually moisturizing. it smells like cupcakes, which some people sensitive to scents may not like. overall, i really like this. and i want to try more.

I was hesitant to buy Tokyo due to bad reviews and because it seems to be one of the less popular shades from the line, but I'm glad I did.
I have a hard time with pinks; most pull too cool toned and lilac or too mauvey and rosey, and for someone fair and warm toned, I thought I was stuck with pale corals and oranges because every pink I've tried didn't seem to flatter me.
However, Tokyo is a lovely pale baby pink, not neon or bright, and is somewhat warm toned. Very soft against my fair complexion and just brightens it up in a different way than how a neon lipstick would.
I'm a lipstick bullet kind of girl and not a fan of applicators, but I'm fond of the formula of these soft matte lip cremes so I overlook it. A mousse texture, with a heavy berry scent but its comfortable on the lips.
