My method for testing a new perfume has always been the same; I spritz a bit in the air, and then I run the back of my hand through said mist. This is usually enough to give me a good impression of whether I will like the scent or not, and in the case of Untitled, less is more. This baby is pungent. Had I indulged myself in a full, wet blast on first try, I may have recoiled in horror. Even with that timid, introductory mist, I found myself it a temporary state of shock. Upon initial application, the best single word for Untitled is simply, "weird." However, I like weird, and this is a weird I can appreciate - especially now that I know what comes next......ANNND because "weird" is not at all helpful to you. Let's get into the nitty-gritty of this concoction. Untitled has, maybe, one of the greenest presence that I've smelled. Spritz. Sniff. Bitter, sharp, crunchy, aggressively green; this must be the galbanum. Sniff. I sense oiliness, but upon reading the description I pulled, they got it right when they used the word "filmy." For me, the filmiest part is at the start, but it certainly digs its heels in and sticks around. Sniff. The jasmine sneaks in to save the homicidal greenery from completely murdering your olfactive experience. I also sense the woody-incense tip-toeing in, but as for the citrus, I can pin-point none. However I imagine the citrus is mingling in the background, playing a significant part in keeping this from staying over-the-top green. It settles down to a green-woody-floral, eventually musk side-steps in to assist the dry-down. As it settles down completely, it gets softer, pretty, airy, a little soapy, and less jarring.I admire Untitled most with a light spritz, or when there's only a whisper of it left on the skin. And because I've thoroughly enjoyed every scent I've experienced that has Daniela's name on it, my fondness for this baby is no surprise. I think if you're a fan of Daniela Andrier, you must try this. If you've sniffed several of her perfumes, you'll likely feel the Daniela vibe in the dry-down. Although very different fragrances, Untitled strongly reminds me of Prada's Infusion d'Iris (which is one of my all time favorites). As for the longevity and projection of this scent, it's a bit underwhelming. If you happen to be in the presence of others when you've first applied, I'm fairly confident they'd notice. However, once worn for awhile, it becomes more of a skin scent. I don't have to mash my nose against my wrist, but I have to get within an inch of it to catch a whiff. Longevity is okay, in that you'll smell traces of it up close hours later, but it may leave you wondering where the once brash and outspoken Mr. Green has run off to.(untitled) is an EDP and it retails for $100-140Longevity: 2/5Projection: 2/5Sincerely, Krista @ Juice Fragrance Blog

This is my latest favorite perfume. It has a light note of incense (my favorite scent) mixed with fresher citrus notes. It is a lighter scent than Armani Bois D'Encens and can be used for summer. I also love the simple packaging, in a clear glass bottle, with a minimalistic label. It comes inside a white cotton bag and you must cut the thin rope that seals the top, which I found a nice promotional idea. The price is also reasonable. Excellent fragrance for warmer weather.

I was eyeing this perfume for a long time but was hesitating because of the mixed reviews online and also because it is really expensive where I live ($200 for 75ml). I eventually caved in and I must say, this perfume is unlike any that I have ever owned. I find the sharp opening very refreshing and the perfume settles really nicely on me. It is perfect clean and fresh scent for me as I live in a country that is hot and humid all year round. As much as I love the scent, spritzing it directly on my skin makes the scent slightly overpowering, especially in the mornings. Hence I tend to spritz the air and walk through it. this allows the scent to linger on my skin lightly. the longevity is still good. Will repurchase only if I get a discount because 1) too expensive and 2) I waste a lot of this product by spritzing into the air

"Untitled" is a complex, unconventional fragrance that I find surprising in every one of its stages. Upon first spray, I like how it is fresh and green and it reminds me of spring rain in a forest. Then the orange flower comes to the surface and along with it something deeper, and softly smokey. This is a great fragrance for those casual days, I really enjoy having this in my collection. And I also appreciate the puristic spray bottle design. Not cheap at $140 for 3.4oz/100ml but it's a winner for me.

This scent is stupid expensive, but it is nice. On me, it starts sharp and green, then the orange blossom comes in (which strongly brings to mind Lush's The Olive Garden, but it has a lot of bergamot which I think this doesn't), and finally it mutes down to a clean skin scent. Similar to Cartier's Baiser Vole, but Untitled is rounder and smokier, with a deeper sharpness (as opposed to loud) and no powder. Nice to have, okay longevity, but nothing to fret over. I think I prefer Baiser Vole as it makes more of a "I am wearing perfume" impression versus "You smell nice", but I wouldn't mind layering the two. Glad I can cross it off my lemmings list.

Last summer I became obsessed with this fragrance. I was sick and tired of all frutti-vanilla-tuberose, run of the mill, same old-same old, fumes. And finally, this was something different and refreshing..literally. First spray is bitter-green and pungent - in your face and unexpected. Then comes smoke and incense, and finally the best part: jasmine mixed with some incense and musk, which is totally addictive. I am getting smoky jasmine wafts and keep sniffing myself like crazy person...it's that good. This fragrance have cool urban vibe, and for me it's pure perfection. Thank you Daniela Andrier!

I love how this grows on my skin. Starts out smelling light, like slightly burnt grass, but developes into this ... I don't even know, deeply sexy scent. I was ready to turn around and leave when the SA suggested I try this. I thought she was nuts as I had explained I'm into Narciso for her and Stella McCartney. A few hours later, I wondered what smelled so beautifully from my pocket - it was, of course, the stick with this stuff on it. Went back the next day and bought it. Sadly not from the same woman, I wanted to thank her.

You know a perfume is interesting when it creates confusion and "diffusion" among people. I find that is what Untitled does. I did smell the bright, almost pungent green opening, the incense, the musk -- but what I did not expect was the smoky leathery smoke on me. It was very strange, and good. I guess the name or no name befits this offering from Maison Martin Margiela. Your body's response to it truly is hard to name. I still haven't decided whether to fully purchase but I am also equally captivated by it. Go figure!

Bong water.Even when I don't like something, I can see how someone might. Or I can see how it might work with another girl's chemistry. Everything is subjective. I have an excellent nose. I can tell a stranger what notes are in her perfume, what deo she's wearing, and where she is in her cycle. I can tell SAs what's in something before they read off the card. It's creepy good...This smelled like wet mop and bong water. To me. On me. To my boyfriend. On my boyfriend. On the paper. On the SA. I want to smell this on someone who can wear it, more out of curiosity than anything else. I'm never this harsh, but I honestly felt like I was on a reality show or something. I'd read the reviews here and was so excited to try it...I do get the slight bit of incense and wanted more; it's one of my favorite notes. But the bong water was just so intense. Money saved.Beautiful bottle, though. Absolutely love it. Gave it 5 lippies.

Notes: Galbanum, box green, bigaradier, jasmine, incense, cedar, muskUntitled by Martin Margiela is an inventive, original modern take on the green chypre. Yes she does open with a bitter blast of green but in short order she departs from the expected trajectory, with the addition of some warm musky incense, orange, jasmine and amber, which lend Untitled much of the allure of a warm cuddly oriental. This is a fragrance that might get your attention, making you think, "who smells so good?", only for you to realize, it's you! Anyone who likes Chanel No.19, Vent Vert, or Miss Dior might find a new love in Untitled. But also, more interestingly, incense fragrance fans might find an expected match here as well. Give it a proper full wearing before you make up your mind.
