Allergic reaction. Whether refined or unrefined, all Shea butter makes my skin super dry and start to flake and break out. It's especially bad on my scalp. After just 3 days in my hair my scalp becomes super itchy and there are huge flakes.

Love love love it!
I had very dehydrated facial skin; it looked very red all the time, it always felt like it was being pulled when I moved my face, it was very oily, my makeup wouldn't stay on, etc. It took me a while to figure out the problem - all the harsh cleansing and scrubbing left my skin broken. To repair my skin I stopped scrubbing and switched to another cleanser and I …

If you have a serious scar that may possibly leave a mark..Then use shea butter immediately on it. I'm prone to scarring and hyperpigmentation. So trust me this works. I was heading to NYC I was wearing a mini dress some how I scraped my leg and a deep cut appeared on my front leg right under the knee mid way. It started bleeding and I stopped it with a cotton ball. I still had to go to the …Read more

This has really helped my skin a lot... No more ashy skin and it also brightens the skin. I use it every night

Shea butter is super rich and thick and I feel luxurious smearing it on. I largely use it on my body and especially in the winter. Shea butter is best for me to RETAIN moisture; I DO NOT use it to REPLENISH moisture, but rather lock it in.

The brand I've found that I like best so far is Out of Africa. The butter is thick and creamy, smells raw and nutrient rich, is a slightly …

Oh did I ever want to like this! I ordered pure organic unrefined Shea butter and had high hopes for the stuff but its not for me.I am very prone to blackheads and breakouts and this gave me both.I tried in on my dry heels and while I obviously didn't break out there I didn't find it very moisturizing just sort of sat there and did nothing.Ditto for the lips.

At best, shea butter dries out my skin (even when used over a regular moisturizer) and lips, and at worst it contributes to eczema flare ups.

A friend of mine has lovely skin and uses shea butter regularly, so I gave it a shot in a vain attempt at replicating her results. At that point, I had only heard good things. Unfortunately, shea butter makes my lips peel like nothing else …

This review is for "Out Of Africa" 100 percent raw, wildcrafted shea butter.

In my continuing quest to go natural, after years of being a die hard beauty sl/ut and product junkie, I picked up a jar of this, because I love shea products, but have only used the processed commercial ones.

Wow. What a find. Extraordinary. Used alone, I can warm it between my …

I have been moisturizing my face with raw shea butter for several years (since I was 19 years old). I was certain that this would be the key to maintaining a youthful face. At the age of 33 years I have a noticeable frown line (noticeable:() running down the center of my forehead. The claims on the lid promise to keep skin firm and and prevent lines and aging, so there goes that claim. Despite …Read more

My favorite facial moisturizer has shea butter as a main ingredient which lead to me discovering all this propaganda online about how shea butter is such an amazing cure all for anything from scars to pimples to wrinkles--I was like sign me up!!! I ordered raw unrefined ivory shea butter off of amazon and it came in a giant sticky slab which was wrapped in a plastic bag and enclosed in a bubble …Read more
