I'm in two minds about this product. The shade and pigmentation are absolutely amazing, it can be used lightly as a sort of tint and worn during the day without looking heavy. Also there's the grown-up feeling of owning and putting on a Chanel lipstick.

However, the formula is quite drying on my lips. Not terribly, but more than I would expect from a high-end lipstick, and certainly from one that claims to be hydrating. I'm not the only person with this sort of experience, I found that quite a few people online say the same thing.

So, if you have this problem or are dead set on getting this lipstick, I'd recommend wearing it over a good lip balm. Quick tip: It also makes for a beautiful cream blush which doesn't cause my skin any problems.

This is my second Chanel lipstick and I love them both. I put this on with a brush and it turns into a berry stain on my lips. Love, love, love this.

A perfect bold sexy lipstick for fair ladies. Doesn't dry lips, wears great, the color is stunning.

Definitely my favorite shade in the Rouge Coco line. Initially, I thought it would be too dark, but I went ahead and bought it and I LOVE IT. Perfect shade for winter, not too red, not too purple, not too brown, but the perfect combo of all three. Lovely color.

Gorgeous color, a dark wine/grape shade. Goes on fairly thickly, and doesn't lay all that well, but once blotted a bit, the color is perfect for a vamp-y look with dark eyes or an understated day look. Not necessarily long-lasting though. The Coco-Rouge formula is still incredibly effective, and my lips never feel dry or cakey after/when wearing this.

This is what I wanted the old Hydrabase Rouge Noir and Vamp to be. Both those shades were very cool and pulled a lot of purple (typical of Hydrabase burgundies/maroons, in my experience).
I love Ballet Russe; it's probably the vampiest shade in the line. I'm not sure it'd work with a very warm complexion, but if any line can make colours that work with both warm and cool tones, it's probably Rouge Coco. My skin is neutral warm (MAC f&b C4) and this plum shade looks great without making me look too goth-y.
It's not as obvious or generic a wine colour as Rivoli. It's definitely not a 'purple red' like Rouge Noir -- I think my skin was dark enough and warm enough to pull huge amount of purple from RN and virtually none of the brown that some reviewers found. Maybe the RC Rouge Noir is different, but I doubt it.
There's a bit of brown in Ballet Russe, a bit of plum and enough pink to lift it.
Formula: not as long-lasting or deeply pigmented as Hydrabase, but RC is ever so moisturising.
This colour made me want to move away from the pinks and peachy-corals that i'd been collecting, slap loads of black eyeliner and embrace serious make up and glamour.
Lovely shade, glad to be able to give it its first positive review!
