Biotene H-24 Shampoo and conditioner was not a good choice for my hair it made my hair feel rough and dry. I had to rewash my hair with a different shampoo and conditioner sorry to say I will not be using this product again the price for each was $8.99 and yes the smell I did not like at all and with rating I would say poor.

I have used this product on a semi-regular basis for about 5 years now. I recently tried to switch over everything to cheap, drugstore items.. but this product has crept back into my product circulation for several reasons.Pros:- Easy texture to work with. It distributes through my notoriously tangly hair effortlessly.- Sulfate-free and decidedly gentle/non-drying.- I DO notice improved growth. Sometimes I doubt that it's helping, but if I switch to something else, I see the sluggish growth again and I run back!- Removes MOST product buildup. If I have used a ton of silicone serum, sometimes I still feel residue after. Other than that, no problems. - Instant plumping effect on my hair (2A, super fine strands, medium density). No shampoos that claim to do that have ever had an effect for me.- Doesn't contain useless and irritating menthol like other hair growth shampoos.Cons:- Smell is a little odd. I don't even know how to describe it. I have got totally used to it at this point, but I still won't use the matching conditioner. The conditioner's scent is the same but lasts wayyy longer on my hair.

This has got to be one of the WORST shampoos I've ever tried. It left me with a coating on my hair (much like what I imagine salad oil to feel like) and I wasn't able to style my hair at all. And the next day I had to wash my hair 3 times just to try and get that coated oily feeling out of my hair BUT it still felt like it wasn't all gone...Never again will I buy anything from Mill Creek...this is the 2nd shampoo I've tried from that company and the other one I tried (can't remember the name) also left a coating. This was by far the worst though...The smell is nothing to write home about either...Run far away from this one!

I bought the set with shampoo, conditioner and serum hoping it will help with my hair loss. I finished the shampoo and conditioner but won't buy again because they didn't help at all, the shampoo is a bit drying, the conditioner doesn't detangle, and was getting sick of the smell too.

I have been quite pleased with this shampoo as well as with the coordinating conditioner. My otherwise very thin and very fine hair definitely feels thicker and like it has more volume after using these... as though my hair has been "plumped up" somehow. However, that could be in part due to the fact that it is not very moisturizing, so I usually use a light leave-in conditioner after this so that I can comb my hair out more easily (thus further reducing breakage). I like that the shampoo doesn't contain sulfates (which strip my hair) and that they do not contain silicones (which apparently aren't good for the hair either). I also like that I can understand the majority of the ingredients which I think are in fact, good for the hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a nice light "clean" scent that I think would appeal to both men and women. My hair always smells really nice after using this, yet not overly perfumed. I definitely would recommend this to anyone that suffers from thin, fine hair like myself. It's not really a miracle, but it is definitely better than most or all of the other thickening products that I've tried.

I have thin, 2A hair with lots of frizz that tends to get weighed down and oily by the end of the day. After trying lots of different volumizing shampoos to see which one gave me the best results, this one won hands down. The longer I have used this shampoo, the more pleased I have been with the results. I've been using it for about four months, and I am noticing significantly less hair fall, great volume, and less issues with flyaways. It does a decent job of cleaning my hair, especially if I use a clarifying shampoo once a week. I don't think it's realistic to expect any shampoo product to deliver the crazy volume you can get from styling products, but I do think this one does make a noticeable difference when it comes to volume. Definitely my HG shampoo.

A very good shampoo with a light and pleasant scent and good foam. For me it was a bit too drying but for unprocessed fine hair that needs volume and care, it is perfect and actually this is what it is formulated for. I will recommend it to my friends.

I love this shampoo. It is so gentle. I used Lush's New shampoo bar before and I found that it was way too irritating for my scalp and the hair loss at first was reduced, but after the irritation, I find it hard to use as my main shampoo. Then Mill Creek Biotene H-24 shampoo steps in. It is so gentle on my scalp and smells fresh and clean. The lather is just right my hair fall has reduced again. I also use the scalp lotion from this line and I think it is really helping my hair stay put and not drying it out in the process.I really want to get the conditioner too but it was sold out, so I will definitely get the conditioner next time. The price is right, the packaging has a simple retro look to it, it doesn't contain nasties and it works. Damn, I must say this could be my new HG. I am hoping the conditioner is awesome because if it is, I might use this for the rest of my life.

This is the best shampoo I have ever used! I have thin hair that sheds a lot and after using this shampoo my hair drastically stopped falling out as much and it has a faint clean scent. The incrediends are increible, just go to wholefoods and compare! However, one bottle I had was really bad though. I think it was refomulated with a paraben and the conditioner was especially liquidy, so I bought Pantene and after one was I was like I have to go back to H-24. The pantene leaves the hair oily the next day and the fragrance too overpowering. With H-24 I could go a couple more days with my hair looking clean and full. No other product has ever done that. Maybe MilsCreek just made a bad batch but i truly hope they will stick with the original paraben free formula that is practically frangrance-free, which I love. Usually GNC has them buy one get one half off or I get it from vitamin shoppe. Could be a little cheaper but not bad.As for the conditioner, it is enough conditioning for thin hair. After you blow it out is when you feel how soft and full the hair is. However, you do need to used alot as it is a very light conditioner. I have to buy 2 bottles. Also the bottle is not very functional. You have to unscrew the top and shake it to get the product out.If it wasn't for the reformulated bottle with paraben and fragrance that I once bought and the conditioner which is too light then this product would receive 5 lippies, however it is still the best shampoo conditioner out there and I will continue to repurchase. I also want to try the scalp treatment. If anyone out there has thin hair, this is the product for you!!!!!

This shampoo contains biotin, which is supposed to help with hair loss. I like the nice, light, clean scent. It lathers well & rinses clean and gives my hair a little more body. I can even skip conditioner & get a comb through it. They also make a conditioner & scalp treatment. This one is a little better than the original biotin shampoo, but it costs the same as that one even though this is half the size (8.5 ounces as opposed to 16). I have been using this in rotation with one of the BWC shampoos & the scalp treatment daily for a few months now, but I do not necessarily see much of a difference in thickening, new growth or decrease in shedding. Makes my hair shine without silicones or residue. Overall, a very nice shampoo for those with thinning or fine hair. I paid $4 for this at vitacost but it's almost twice that at GNC. Ingredients:Deionized Water, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Aloe Vera Gel*, Panthenol (Provitamin B5, Sodium, Myreth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA (Coconut Based), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut & Beet Oil), Sodium Chloride, Biotin, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Coltsfoot Extract, Yarrow Extract, Rosemary Extract, Sage Extract, Nettle Extract, Birch Leaf Extract, Birch Sap, Horsetail Extract, Calcium Pantothenate, Inositol, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Citric Acid, Cysteine HCI, Corn Oil, Ethoxydiglycol, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Benzoicacid (Nat'l derivatives), Botanical Fragrance. pH balanced.
