I bought this on sale; it is not worth the full price. This is a drier formula, which I usually like because I have more control over my line. It does transfer a bit when tight-lining. The color is really nice though. Deep brown is a flattering dark cool brown. There are better eyeliners out there though, so probably would not re-purchase.

Does not goes on smoothly, does not last. The twist up broke after a few uses.

The WORST liner I have ever used. Pulls, tugs, does not go on smoothly... nightmare to use. Don't waste your money.

I like this better than the Chanel Le stylo liner. The Chanel espresso is a similar color to Bess' Deep Brown. Just got this from Sephora. you get two pencils for $29 - same price as one Chanel le stylo. Bess' liner goes on softer than the Chanel but doesn't last as long. So one lippie off for that.
EDIT 3/13 - Chantecaille's pencils are better. you can draw a thinner line.

This is one of the few Edward Bess products I haven't already reviewed! I love his line and this is another new favorite. This is a self sharpening pencil that comes in two shades, Deep Black and Deep Brown. The texture is soft enough so it doesn't tug when you apply, but it's not TOO soft or smudgy. You can create a thin or thick line and it stays on very well even in humidity, although it's not waterproof. It's a nice size to hold for ease of application, too.
