Ardell Lash and Brow Growth Accelerator Treatment Gel
Approx $4.00
Sally’s Beauty Supply, CVS, Amazon, Ebay, etc.

I originally spoke of this product briefly without really testing it out. (See original blurb here: Bedroom Eyes) In December 07, I bought 3 bottles of it after my interest was sparked again because of the discussion at this forum: “Rave for Drugstore Eyelash Growth Serum!”

After my bottles promptly arrived, I started applying it once a night, right before bed to both my upper and lower lashes, on both SIDES of the lashes and to my brows.

In just one month, my lashes are longer and thicker than I ever needed them to be. Granted, I was blessed with nice lashes to begin with, but as you can see from the picture below, NO ONE has natural lashes this long! That picture was taken on January 16, 2008, 1 month after I started using it every night. Unfortunately, I did not take “before” pictures to compare it to, but I can tell you it wouldn’t have looked anything like this!

Note that this is without ANY PRODUCT on my eyes, lashes or even skin.

I had to stop using the Ardell on my brows because I simply cannot keep up with tweezing them, shaving them, waxing them, whatever. The hairs just grow too darn fast. Again, I have naturally thick brows, but this is ridiculous. So if any of you are longing to have your brows fill in, try Ardell before you fork over $35.00 for Anastasia’s just for browsNUBROW serum.

Here are some other LASH GROWTH products that I have either tried, or wish to try.

(So far, however, the consensus is that Ardell is by far the best product for the price and results. But we never stop looking, do we?!)

I love this stuff. I wear waterproof mascara so i use this stuff to help condition and strengthen my lashes. You can see results if youre consistent with this product. You won't see an automatic overnight result but I have noticed that with time, my lashes look longer and thicker and they feel healthier. Definitely would repurchase!

I found this product in my local Sally's beauty supply store.

Ok. Let me start this off with this is NOT a magic worker, it takes time and some dedication. I've been using this for over a month on both my brows and eyelashes and wow can I honestly say my eyebrows look amazing. When I was pretty young my mother made me get my eyebrows waxed which resulted into years of walking around with no eyebrows (oops) but since I've been using this product I've gotten fuller thicker brows!! FINALLY!! For my eyelashes however I already have pretty long lashes and have yet to see a difference with thickness. For brows this is the HOLYGRAIL for eyelashes i'm looking into trying a different product hoping for a miracle.

Overall I believe that it is a good product. If you're waiting for overnight results or for the look of falsies you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for something to give you stronger and believable fuller and healthier looking lashes then this is the product for you. It takes about a month for you to notice a difference (as with most products you got to give it a little time) but it is worth it in my opinion. I was using select lash rejuvenating serum that was applied like a mascara. It was cheap and effective but I noticed the recent batches that I bought sadly had been "watered down" and getting runny after a few uses. So I was on the lookout for another decently priced yet effective lash conditioner and this baby did the trick for me. I have noticed less breakage when taking off my makeup and my lashes have gotten longer and overall just healthy looking. The applicator is kind of like a liquid liner brush and is applied to the base of your lashes. I use it at night after I cleanse my face before bed. On a side note, I also like that this product does not contain prostaglandin in it which is what the higher end lash serums on the market have that can darken your iris (eek! =<). So overall, If you are looking for a strengthening serum for your lashes without the scary side effects (and without breaking your bank account for that matter..) I would definitely recommend that you try this one. As for myself I can say that I can definitely see myself repurchasing it as it has now become a staple in my "beauty regimen" ^_-

It's does work but over time, it isn't going to be a miracle cure if you have very sparse brows or eyelashes but it definitely helps. I first used after ruining my eyelashes with semi perm extensions, once removed I had very little eyelashes left. I used Ardell every morning and evening on my eyelashes and after 6 weeks they had regrown and were dark and full again. I now use this as part of my everyday routine as I have noticed when I stop using it my eyelashes aren't as full and long.

I also use it on my eyebrows every morning to keep them in place, I have been growing back one brow after some over plucking, again ardell I believe has helped speed up this process.

For the price it is great, I will continue to use

All CONS: I could only give it a few weeks' trial on one eye, because it started to irritate my eye. But in three weeks, I saw no difference in length.

APPLICATION: I didn't apply it to the very bottom of the base of the lashes because, even when just applying to lashes, I got alot of irritation in my eye, consistently.

ALTERNATES: I actually found some results and had no irritation problems with the Canmake Lash Essence or some name like that.

Ok, this is no Latisse. Once you get over that, this can be a beneficial lash and brow treatment. I used this twice daily for a month, then once nightly after that. I did not notice any growth whatsoever. What I did notice was that my lashes were much less prone to falling out after mascara removal. So, that is why I would reconsider purchasing this again. Latisse is the only one that gives me growth. But maybe this formula will work for you.Everyone responds to different ingredients. As it is quite affordable, it is worth giving it a try for a couple months to see if it works for you.

I've had this product a very long time--it didn't exist on the MUA database when I bought it--but despite trepidations at buying an unreviewed product, the reasonable price and desire for long lashes won out. I used it consistently on both my lashes and brows for about a month, and then found out about careprost (generic latisse,) so it was relegated to the back of my stash.

Having finished off my careprost (which btw, is amazing and def works, but I hate ordering from foreign websites,) I rediscovered this product. I HIGHLY recommend it for sparse areas on brows. Not only does it work, it works with the quickness, almost too effectively...like I had to double my wax visits! As for lashes, I am a bit spoiled by the results of careprost, which were phenomenal, but this is nothing to sneeze at. I really like the liquid liner-like applicator, and I think removing the plastic stopper at the top when the bottle seems empty (UDPP style,) will reveal plenty more product. It also irritated my eyes (I wear contacts) much less than l'oreal's lash serum. Overall a thumbs up for me.

So i decided to give this a go and i think this is amazing its not too expensive i feel in some ways its easier to put on than the L'oreal stuff and i would most definately recommend to anyone!!!!!

This product was unlike what i expected, but I still like it. I usually use the brow and lash accelerator and I still do in conjunction with this. I apply this at night to my lash line and in just 2 weeks I have noticed fuller lashes. Not longer lasher, but definitely fuller lashes. I use the brow and lash accelerator as mascara during the day. I think the combination of both of these makes it very easy not to have to wear real mascara that irritates my eyes through the day. I trust Ardell because I had good results with the brow and lash accelerator and this lash and brow excel is even better. I wish it came with he same applicator tip as the brow and lash, but that's OK. It still performs very well. Of course I will continue to buy and use both products in the future. They are non irritating and reasonably priced

**Update 4/26/11***
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff REALLY works. OMG I looked in the mirror yesterday and my lashes are long and full. I could not believe how full my lashes are now. I will contine to use to see if they get any thicker. They are long and full, but not as thick as I would wish them to be.
