So i finally got the nerve to try portofino at my local nars counter. It looked amazing when the :SA tried it on me. But I just couldn't justify shedding out 45 dollars on it. So I let my dream of a multiple makeup product slip away until.....I found it on eBay:) in this duo. And I have to say that I am in love. Malibu is a great contour color which o apply to the hollows of my cheeks with my fingers. Then I apply portofino just below my cheekbones with my fingers. And blend gently with an angled brush. Very natural looking. If I want a little more oomph. I dust some orgasm blush over top. For reference I'm nc30 and this is very flattering on my skintone

I like this duo very much. Portofino is, of course, a beautiful peachy/pink (heavier on the peach), and Malibu a dusty rose. The usual black rubberized NARS compact is fairly large with a nicely sized mirror, and you get a decent amount of each Multiple (IMHO) in separate wells. I find the product in this component infinitely easier to apply than the Multiple sticks, which are variable in texture and blendability. Both Portofino and Malibu are smooth and creamy, glide on like a dream, and wear extremely well--in fact, I was surprised that I didn't have to touch up (my cheeks) late in the day. Although the price is ridiculous, this is a great way to get a variety of Multiples (and the pairings are well done) in less than a lifetime supply. Kudos to Francois for coming up with this idea. I would repurchase in a different configuration (Maldives/Riviera).
