This brow pencil had been a favorite of mine, for decades ! You were able to sharpen the lead to the very bottom of the pencil. I kept the nubs for emergencies in my kit, and in my purse. Now, Shiseido has added a brow brush so thick and bushy, I find it unusable for my brows. Moving on...

So happy the early 2000 trend of thin brows are over because mines definitely suffered my waxing/tweezing abuse. Which now that I think of it, my brows are sparse so don't know why that was ever a good idea... Anyway that's exactly how this eyebrow pencil is useful. I basically have black eyebrows, dark brown hair and I use deep brown. I apply in spare areas and pretty much draw to lengthen the tail. Powder does look more natural/soft but doesn't last long nor can I get accurate placement. This pencil does achieve that natural look because the color is buildable and neutral. Also I love how hard it is because it lasts a while until I have to resharpen. This leads to it lasting for a long time, which was a big issue when I used Anastasia's Brow Wiz. I used to buy Anastasia's in a lighter color to fill in the front of my brow and Shiseido's to do the tail and define. Both were pricey but I found myself repurchasing Anastasia's too quickly and eventually abandoned it.I don't use the other end(brush), I use a separate spoolie brush. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the brush to lower the price. Please.

I rarely buy expensive makeup on a whim without consulting the internet first, but this time I'm very glad I did. This baby works! It looks nice and natural on ash brown eyebrows, has the right hard-yet-comfortable texture, stays on and can be used on its own or as a touch-up tool. Definitely a good investment and so far the best brow pencil I've tried.I also love that it looks like an actual pencil or crayon. The only thing I would definitely change is the stupid fat angled brush at the end - a spoolie would be much better.

This product is popularly used by us Asian females. As an Asian girl with light black eyebrows, it's hard to find a good brow pencil. =/ This is the only eyebrow pencil that matches my brow color. It can look natural if applied lightly.

I love this! Its grey so no red tone for my black hair. You can really build it up if you want dark drows or have a natural look. It lasts all day and the brush on the end is useful to blend it in.

Firstly, a little background story: I have to emphasize that I have almost invisible brows and I have been searching for the perfect eyebrow filler since I started using makeup (doesn't help the trend now seems to be thick luscious eyebrows.. thanks Cara Delevigne?!). I've tried everything from pencil to gel to powder and I feel like I always go back to pencil cause I feel like it has the easiest control. That being said, eyebrow pencils don't usually have that much holding power. BUT this product!! IS AMAZING. It's not too pigmented that it appears too harsh and the colours are beautiful + natural. And the best part, it stays on all day! I find that other products I've tried tend to "turn" oily after a whole day at work (8 hours). Like you can see that there's oil build up on top of your eyebrow product so it looks and feels really uncomfortable. So especially for a person like me who has combination (oily T-zone) skin, this product deserves a HG status! The only bad thing I can say about it is that it's pretty pricey for an eyebrow pencil and it's not an auto pencil meaning you actually have to sharpen it.But besides that, I would totally recommend anyone with super super sparse eyebrows to pick this up. Now, when I go out the whole day I never need to worry about my eyebrows disappearing.

Asian here, black hair, fair skin. Been using the Shiseido natural black eyebrow pencil for 20+ years now. When I got my first pencil (from my mom's makeup kit!) it didn't have a brush back then. Brush is a nice addition - blends it in really well. Perfect HG eyebrow pencil - looks very natural, long lasting. Anything else looks fake/harsh. Expensive, but definitely worth the price.

This is probably my most expensive brow pencil. But I do not attempt to use anything else since I found this. Really it looks very natural and I would repurchase this 10 in a time if i had the cash. Worth every penny.

A must have for Asians like myself! I don't necessarily have sparse eyebrows but I do like to fill them in a little here and there. This brow pencil is perfection - easy to use, lasts all day and the COLOUR matches my brows perfectly! (Ashy grey colour). HG status for me.

I debated getting this forever, because really, it's 30 bucks for a grey pencil. I'm not disappointed at all that I did though! The colour is amazing for Asians, and it really does look very natural. The brush is also quite good at blending in the pencil without lifting too much colour. The pencil is soft, but not so creamy that you go through it super fast. I've used mine for half year every single day, and there's still quite a stick left. I don't need to sharpen it too much either, since it works well with a dull point. That means I don't waste too much product, hurray!
