I purchased this product knowing full-well, from the ingredients, that this might compromise the integrity of my waterproof mascara. I was correct, so one lippie off for this. In other words, it changed my waterproof mascara into a non-waterproof one, which is why I won't repurchase. Other than that, the product and instructions did their job; although, the technique of usage instructions does the majority of the work.

USAGE: Squeeze 2 to 3 drops of the thinner into the mascara tube after removing the wand, then replace the wand and place the mascara tube in warm water for an hour or so, turning occasionally. Then, rotate/turn the wand 2 or 3 times inside the tube and apply the mascara. IMPORTANT: You might have to do this procedure twice, but no more than that. Also, NEVER pump the mascara wand because this brings air into the mascara, further drying the mascara out, and may introduce dangerous bacteria. Also note that mascara is to be discarded 2 or 3 months from its initial opening for sanitary reasons. You should NOT use this product on mascara older than 3 months for the health of your eyes. Final note, NEVER add water or other liquid(s) to your mascara for the same sanitary reasons!

Unfortunately, only an 'eye safe' cosmetic-grade petroleum distillate would work to thin waterproof mascara, and there is none on the market for consumers. I experience the end of my mascara's "honeymoon" period after about two weeks and I was hoping to find a thinner to help with this situation. Alas, there is none; you just have to replace the tube, which seems like such a waste!

Evecare is distributed by Rainbow U.S.A. Co., Inc., and this product is made in Korea. Its SKIU is 8809029123170. It comes in a tiny white plastic dropper bottle with no volume measurement printed (is that even legal in the US?), but I would guess it is about .15 fl oz, or approximately 4 ml. The bottle does not have the instructions printed on the label, either, and one more lippie off for this. Please see the ingredients listed separately under the link provided. I paid under $5 for this on eBay, but it is also available direct from Evecare (www.evecare.net) and other sites.
