Too heavily rose talc on me. There's a dry down note just like dried wild flowers, which I love, but the talc over notes just take over everything and ruin it for me. I don't really want to smell like powder.

This rose lacks the happy insouciance of Ombre Rose, yet is by no means less easy to wear, nor less charming; exquisite composition featuring a calm, wise, faintly world-weary bouquet which surprisingly remains transparent and lightweight, for all its substance. Not a sweet-sixteen sort of rose, Poussière de Rose is the very rose to remind me, in a timely manner, that a rose is a rose is a rose …Read more

I had been wanting to try Poussiere de Rose for a long time, my curiosity piqued by MissLiz's and Stanzi's reviews.
I managed to do a quick sampling of many Rosines at a store recently and Poussiere was the one who got me enamoured.

It is warm and masterfully blended and the quality of the ingredients can be immediately perceived. Comforting and feminine, classical but …

I like the opening with its dried fruit and tea, but it quickly became a potpourri scent to me. I love rose scents, but I only found this pleasant, and I would not buy a full bottle. This lasted for about 4 hrs on me.

I found the opening boring. I didn't quite get the medicinal notes others were commenting on but it seemed very much like a one man rose show (I think the correct term is "soliflore"). However, the drydown is quite delicious. It bears a striking resemblance to Serge Lutens' Douce Amere. It must be the cinnamon.

The opening is bitter and 'medicinal' but also somehow fresh, full of excitement and promising -- very interesting.
Then it develops into a nice, full, rich rose fragrance, but not only a dull rose fragrance: it combines rose with plum, incense, tea and cinnamon. It has some almost antique quality, like someone said.

I wouldn't buy it for me, but it is a nice …

I also experienced a slight medicinal note in the opening of this, but it quickly faded into what smelled like soft powdery and faintly sweet rose pot pourri. As someone on whom rose based scents never seem to work, I was ready to write this off, until a short while later this morphed into a subtly spiced rose, with all the notes others mention (tea, fruits incence and cinammon) softly combining …Read more

I was very weary of the fragrance for the first few minutes, as it came off as a bit medicinal. Afterwords though, the scent revealed a beautiful spicy, fruity, sweet rose. The overall effect is similar to either gingerbread and roses, or glogg wine with rose. After about an hour, the scent morphed into an undefinable chemical scented mess. It seems as though this may be a result of my …Read more

This is really a quality perfume.
I am not a fan of the rose note itself (but I love it combined w/ other flowers) however I like powdery fragrances.
This is a powdery rose, but it has enough depth to get you addicted!
Mind you, this is nothing like these joyful fruity maistream scents. Poussière de rose is not a "ready to wear" to my opinion. It is a fragrance that …

Poussiere de Rose - Rose Dust - is a very appropriate name for this perfume. It does have a rather dry, antique feel to it, which makes it the antithesis of the fruit-sugar-candy style that embodies youth nowadays. Antique lace, tea, cinnamon, dried apricots, a whisper of incense, and a wonderfully radiant rose that shines through it all (Whatever roses Rosine uses in its perfumes, I am addicted …Read more
