I discovered this scent about a year ago. I was bored, I had some extra money on hand and I felt like spending a little money. There's this great little perfume shop downtown that specializes in making custom scents, but they do carry the odd niche lines. To give you a bit of backstory about me, I'm a fan of anything horror and I have an impressive - yet small- collection of skulls, so naturally you can assume what my eyes zeroed in on. Without paying attention to the list of notes, one would assume this would be an earthy/ floral concoction. Not so. This turned out to be a pleasant, woodsy vanilla accompanied by a healthy amount of spice. It's that herbaceous, boozy organic vanilla that I love. I believe that it's the orchid that keeps it from becoming cloying and keeps it light. Longevity is questionable, but I do find that there's a light aura of scent that seems to linger - especially after it seems to have completely "disappeared. " It's definitely "dead sexy", but in a non-obtrusive way; but a subtle seduction. Dead Sexy is one of the standouts in this line. It's a great starting point for those looking to explore vanilla and spices. Plus, it's proof that you don't have to spend an arm and a leg for a great scent - especially a niche line.
