I bought two of these and the hinges on both of them broke within a week. I'm not rough on my items, and this hasn't happened with any other palettes, so my other option is that these aren't made the best. They also open very easily. Not worth te purchase, honestly

A cute empty compact, I had a lot of fun filling this with my favourite eye shadow pans. It holds four Annabelle eyeshadow pans, with a little dip by each pan so you can pry it out if you need to. The magnets in this are quite strong -- I've turned it upside and shaken it, and the pans don't get loose.

As other reviewers have noted, the slots on this palette are 26mm in diametre, which is the same size as the MAC eyeshadow pans. Although you can use them interchangeably, they're not quite a perfect match. The Annabelle Custom Quad Palette has a magnetized bottom which holds the metallic Annabelle pans to it. MAC pans, however, have a magnet attached to the bottom, and I assume MAC's Pro Palette is metallic to work in the reverse. Thus, if you drop a MAC pan in this palette, it'll probably stay in place because it fits snugly, but both sides are magnetized, so the pan isn't really locked in place. That's just a bit of info for prospective buyers -- I'm hardly going to critique Annabelle for not making their products more suitable to MAC's. They're still a bit of a price save, since you can find the Annabelle palettes for about $4 in stores, and MAC charges $7 for the Pro Palettes.

My only critique of this product is that Annabelle only has their palettes available in 4x. I own quite a few Annabelle pans, and this palette can be a little bit clunky, which makes me wish Annabelle would make it in a 12-pan size. If you're a pan collector, whether it's Annabelle, MAC, or ones you press on your own, you may want to invest in one of the larger empty palettes available on Ebay. Nonetheless, this is a great product to be able to pick up at the local drugstore.

This review is for the Annabelle custom quad refillable compact. Annabelle came out with eyeshadow refills and this came in a promo when you bought 4 shadows, you got this compact free. It is a Canadian brand available at Shopper's Drug Mart. The compact is listed as $5.49, but if you ask a cosmetician if the promo is still on, they will give you the compact for free.

This compact comes empty, magnetic and designed to fill 4 of the single refill Annabelle shadows. It is black, with a clear top embossed with splatter design that says Annabelle, inside it comes with a little insert for suggestions on what shadows to get and the pan for 4 shadows. The compact is kinda bullky and not the greatest for travel, but if it great for putting together looks and fills MAC shadows as well. I give Annabelle props for creating something like this. The pans fit nicely and it being magnetized is super cool too. I have three of these and keeps all the shadows in them, one for neutral, one smokey and one colourful.
