This is a hot neon pink and the color is very pretty. It has a matte finish and is not as shiny / glossy as it looks in the bottle, so you may need a top coat if you arenīt into matte looks. I need 2 coats for it to be opaque on my nails and it can get a little streaky, but not to the point where it looks bad. I like it a lot!

To the reviewers below that gave this bad ratings because of the .....DULL MATTE FINISH.......DUH!!!!!!Its a NEON folks!!!!!!!ALL NEONS DRY MATTE!!!!!Wow!!!Its crazy when folks leave bad reviews for something that they don't even know about!Anyways, this is a beautiful in your face darker hot pink NEON and LIKE ALL NEONS.....IT NEEDS A SHINY TOP COAT!!!!!I use Seche, Poshe, or Essie's Good To Go.....fast drying topcoats.I use either NTEKII Foundation or OPI Nail Envy Matte and this can last on my little toesies for over 2 weeks!(and my hubby and 2 boys keep me in the water or out camping... all summer long)I love that its a darker neon pink....because imo, lighter neon pinks look too juvenile on my toes. But, I do not use this one a lot...as it is a "lighter" kind of dark hot pink....So, I always use my H.G of H.G's.... ZOYA's LAYLA!!!!It is a smoldering darker hot pink, with a bit of red undertone....and it does not have any ucky orange undertones! Yay! I just luv it too pieces!!Then for a Purple hot pink,I like Zoyas.... Charisma.

Well, this nail polish is a lot of things, but fuchsia is definitely NOT one of them. What it IS, however, is a streaky, dull, lusterless hot mess. I bought this because during summer I like to put neon's on my toes (it's cute for the beach.) I knew it was going to be neon when I bought it, so the name didn't really have any influence on my purchase, however, I wouldn't go around naming a sky blue nail polish sea foam green, so why they would call fluorescent hot pink, fuchsia, I do not know, but I digress... ANYWAY! on to the actual review... I was super-disappointed in this polish... in the bottle it looked like a crazy bright, shiny neon pink- exactly what I was looking for...however, it went on shiny, but the exact SECOND it dried it was streaky and UNBELIEVABLY dull!! No luster whatsoever! Flat-streaky neon is not the look I was going for. It looked like that neon liquid chalk my teachers in middle school used to use...NOT sexy. After three coats of polish and a top coat it was decent enough that I didn't have to take it off and pick a new color (hence two lippies instead of one), but I am not happy with it at all. This was my first Essie polish, and I don't know now that I will purchase another one... this color's performance kind of makes me a little nervous. I'll probably give this color to my 5 year old niece who thinks that any nail polish is amazing. I'll be sticking with OPI I think.

Loooove neon polishes. Get a lot of compliments with this one, it's the most neon pink I've seen. As with all neon polishes, it's good if you have a white-based base coat, but I put this on without and it's fine. Just put on two or three coats and finish with topcoat.Lasts as long as a normal nail polish. Who else makes this color though?

The color is amazing. If you like bright neon colors this is the pink for you. The application of the nail polish is not smooth. It's very streaky and definitely requires more than 2 coats. The polish dries matte and isn't pretty. A super shinny topcoat is definitely required. This polish doesn't last at all on my nails. It begins to chips within one day, if even that. I've tried different base and top coats. Essie is one of the the only polish where I have major problems with chipping, even among drug store brands. I wouldn't buy this polish again. Yes, the color is great but the polish itself is not worth the money. If I could find this color made by China Glaze or OPI I would definitely purchase it.

I was looking for a neon pink nail polish, and this one is perfect! It's soo bright and Barbie-ish. It does go on a little streaky, but I applied the next coats a little thicker and once it's dried it looks fine. I had to use 3 coats which seemed a little much, but it's really pretty. It was matte when it dried, but I used a shiny top coat by Wet 'n Wild [it doesn't have to be expensive to work good!] and it worked great. Overall it's a really fun color, I just put it on so I can't comment on how much it chips.***Edit***Wow, this didn't chip AT ALL for at least 4 days. After that I got stuck opening a bunch of boxes at work, so that kinda killed it.. But still, I kept it on for about a week and it looked good the whole time. I used a China Glaze base coat and Wet 'n Wild top coat.

I am absolutely in love with this color pink! So much fun and so summery, I got 3 comments from random people throughout the day... unfortunately about as soon as you put this on your nails it chips off. I almost never put it on because it's pretty much worthless.

I actually bought three different colors from the neon collection. I tried this one out first because I got it to give to my sister. This is the one she wanted to try out but she's 16 and still in high school. I like how funky it is but it's so electrically bright. I feel like I should be go-go dancing or maybe be a tacky Asian hooker in Chinatown. I'm not too thrilled about it being matte either. I think I like their glossier finish. This hasn't happened before with other Essie products but this one is totally chipping on me...

My husband loves this color. Takes him right back to flirting in middle school , I think. This is the hottest pink on the market. I'm not crazy about the application; you won't see results until 2-3 coats and yes you must have a top coat, that is true to any neon, not just this. I'm glad I have it in my arsenal and want to get the other pink and the purple from the collex as well.

I purchased this product because I was looking for a neon pink shade to use on my toes - I figured it was a perfect shade for "summer toes". Well, I was really disappointed. Typically, I use two coats of polish, but this one required three (and I probably should have applied another coat). This shade was VERY streaky during application (requiring a few re-applications especially on my big toe). As if the streaky application wasn't frustrating enough, it turned into a completely matte & flat color when it dried. It looked so cheap! I had to use a super high-gloss top coat to compenate.
