I usually use conditioner to shave my legs - it's no fuss and is slippery - I actually prefer it to regular shaving cream. However after becoming slightly obsessed with Lush I decided to try shave the planet - I agree with a previous reviewer - what a disaster! Sounds gross but it would mix with the hair and clog and dull the razor - the result was needing to go over the same spot about 10 …Read more

What a disaster. I thought this product would be a great alternative to other shaving creams and since I love lush then why would I have a problem? Not the case.... I found that the cream (even if applied in small amount) would clog or dull my razor. As I'd attempt to shave my legs I'd be left with stubble, razor burn and everything but smooth and hairless-ness.

I hate this …

Well, i got this free with some purchases (i got the full size Weeee!) but for the price, i would purchase it. Surprisingly there isn't much good reviews on this. I find that a little goes a long way. If you wet the area first with some water (not soak, just slightly wet it) and smooth the cream on, it works better. i like to sort of rub it in for 15 seconds before shaving. I do agree that …Read more

I get mad razor bumps. Thought I'd give this a whirl since I love LUSH.

This was a rare disappointment. I shave my legs in the shower and I found that the cream rinsed off before I could shave it off. I would try a bit at a time-- apply to my left ankle, shave my left ankle immediately, then do the right, etc.
Even with that I couldn't shave fast enough to shave before …

I got a generous sample of this a few weeks back.

First of all, it is way too thick to work as a shaving cream since it clogs your razor (had to use a nail brush while shaving, which was very time consuming). Secondly, since it is so thick, it has a tendency to be shaved off rather than spread on the skin which makes the razor drag on your skin. Thirdly, it leaves a sort of film behind …

Yuck. Yuck, yuck. I don't like it. It didn't help me at all with shaving. Like the other reviewer said, it gummed up my razor, too. It did not provide any slip at all, as far as I could tell, and as soon as you drag your razor over one area, the stuff is gone, so if your razor missed a few hairs, you have to reapply some more before shaving over it again. It didn't rinse easily at …Read more

Lush is promoting this shave cream by offering a free shampoo bar with purchase -- as I needed the latter anyway, I figured I may as well give it a go. It comes in the same size tub as their hair gels -- smallish -- which sells for just over $11USD, if memory serves. The product itself is a super dense, creamy paste which one slathers onto the bit(s) of their body they'd like rendered …Read more
