Powder Blush - Taupe [DISCONTINUED]

This is my current favorite contouring shade. Works really well for my skintone.

I bought this because so many users recommended it as a contouring shade for pale skin. I don't know what everyone else's definition of pale is, but it's obviously not the same as mine, because this stuff looks seriously muddy on me. It's BROWN. Not taupe. It's a pigmented medium brown. I've tried it as an eyeshadow, cheek contour and nose contour with various brushes over various bases, and the result is always the same: a dark, muddy smudge that's impossible to blend. I could use it as part of a trio of eyeshadow shades, but as a contouring shade it absolutely does not work. Even if I tap and brush off most of the colour before applying, it's too dark. On my cheeks I look like Lindsay Lohan (whose disastrous bruise-like contouring made headlines when she appeared in court) and on my nose I look just dirty. For the record, I am extremely pale, but so are a lot of others who recommend this as a contouring shade.

Let me just say...I am pale. Its very hard for me to find a decent contour color. I used to use a few different eye shadows here and there, but gave up for a long time because I was just...fed up with not being able to get a decent product. So I stopped contouring all together until I tried this. I absolutely love it. Its my go to contour color now. It has a really nice red base undertone to it so I don't wind up as an oompa-loompa, but its not ashy or dirty looking. It also doesn't over power any blush I might put on afterward. I have also, found this to be a beautiful brow color. Even I don't use this to contour, i use it though my brows everyday and its just perfect. Fantastic buy.

Calling all my fellow fair girls out there. FINALLY found the perfect contouring shade. Not orange, or dirty looking what so ever. Plus, you can't beat the price. HG status!!

I have been looking for a contouring shade like MAC Strada which is not available anymore and i do have to say they are pretty close. i really like this for contouring and its afordable and not muddy.really nice.

I was given this blush to try out before I knew about NYX products and my first reaction was...what a great eyeshadow! It really brings out a soft enhancement for brown eyes. After searching up a product review did I find out it was a blush. No wonder! The texture is very fine and very smooth. It feels like air stroking your cheeks (when using a good brush of course.) I don't use blush (cheeks are naturally somewhat rosey at times), so taupe provides the finest sutle contour and color. I've only tried it on fair-medium asian skin tone, so I highly recommend it for those alike.

LOVE this color!! Got it for contouring my cheeks. It's perfect. It's a light brown w/ a grey cast which makes it perfect for contouring. (if you're fair skinned... not sure about deeper skintones) Consistancy/ texture is very nice. Not too powdery but blendable. Definitely, definitely adore this product and plan on repurchasing when I'm through.

I can't give a product a bad review simply because the color did not flatter my skin tone. It appears this is great for pale skin tones but on me this looked blue/gray just awful. I tried to use it to contour and as a regular blush but I had to toss it away.

I bought this as some girls on YouTube were saying it was a good contouring shade. First off, it's a very grey toned brown. I have yellow undertones in my skin and this just makes my face look dirty. I think I'm better suited with warmer products. I've tried it as an eyeshadow and it's okay but honestly this gets no use by me at all. I feel like it doesn't have much pigmentation at all and it feels really chalky. A huge miss for me. Luckily it wasn't too expensive.
