I'm almost done with my first bottle of this and will not be repurchasing.I have have very deep ashy brown hair that is cut very short. While this did add a lovely shine, it was quite drying and I couldn't use this every day. If I did use this for multiple days in a row, my hair would feel very brittle. Furthermore, I tend to have very oily hair and scalp issues. This only exacerbated the problem, probably because it was so drying and sent my scalp into overload oil production mode. Because it was so drying it also gave me issues with frizziness in the very humid climate where I live. I NEVER have frizzy hair! It's just too fine and oily for that, and yet, there it was. Frizz. The packaging is super convenient and I like that it has a very neutral scent that doesn't linger. I might give the moisturizing variant of this a try, but this volumizing version was a total bust for me.

If i were to reach for a volumizing shampoo, this would not be it. I did not see increased volume. Also rather drying. The only thing it does is add nice shine to brown hair. Thats it. I wish john frieda would bring back the other shampoos in the brilliant brunette line!

Awful shampoo, this thing dried up my hair, I would never never never purchase this again I returned to my macadamia organix shampoo / I have natural curl brown hair so for natural curly hair girls it is hard to find a good shampoo that doesn't dry the hair

Just reviewed the other shampoo for brunettes in this line and the conditioner too. My hair is just too dry for this, and I didn't notice any boost to volume. Just did nothing for me and no particular advantage to my brown hair which was the point of buying it.

Love it! I don't know why, but my hair seems to respond extremely well to John Frieda products. Haven't been disappointed by any of theirs now, so I will defenitely keep repurchasing. My hair has been a bit of a mess lately. Rather dry and very hard to handle. I have to admit I have been teasing it almost daily and put in rather strong, hairspray. But well, JF solved the problem. My hair now feels a lot smoother and is way better to brush. Immediately when i applied it to my hair, it felt like it made it a lot softer.I also use the matching conditioner and it does miracles. Leaves my hair shiny, yet not too glossy or greasy looking.Very impressed with this.

I'm using it in the Chestnut Expresso color. It left my hair a little dry. But I think my hair is traumatized from home coloring anyway. I didn't notice that this product did anything special. The price was ok but you don't get much product. I like the fragrance.
Are you sure this product is discontinued?
