Living in the hot and humid country of Singapore, I can assure you to not get this if you sweat a lot. 1. It is not anti-perspirant Even so, you still expect not to smell right? After applying it you'll feel fresh, but the moment you sweat the deodorant runs off. And it gives out a pretty strange odour. Sometimes I'm not even sweating and the deodorant runs off by itself (not completely) within 30 minutes. 2. If you are someone who doesn't sweat that much but just to be cautious, I think this might be suitable. No bad chemical ingredients in this product, only baking soda, essential oils and the basic product ingredients. Also again on my personal experience, I was pleased that I didn't smell after wearing for 6-7 hours HOWEVER I was in an air-conditioned area and the moment I stepped out for 20 minutes, it melt and my white crop top had BLACK stains(?) on the armholes. Currently still in the washing machine so I'm not sure if it is washable. So sweaty people, stay away.

A good choice. This one is in my top five for sure. Very effective and priced well. I recommend it. If you are used to using antiperspirant you sill have an adjustment period no matter what brand you choose (if you are making a change) but stick with it. It's worth it for your health.

I have been using the Arm & Hammer Ultra Max with great success, but I wanted something more natural so I bought this for $1 at Kroger. I hate this stuff! It's slimy, it takes forever to dry, and I stink like I never put anything on about an hour after applying it. I hate to waste it, but I really can't use it so I think I might just toss it and keep using the Ultra Max for now.

I wanted to make the switch from regular antiperspirant/deodorant to aluminum free deodorant so I picked this up in both Fresh and Unscented. First off, it's misleading that the "unscented" version actually has quite a strong citrus scent. It doesn't linger, but the scent is quite strong when you're applying it. They both go on somewhat slimy and sticky and take a little while to dry. I didn't stink at all while using this but I can't really vouch for the effectiveness of the product since I've never had BO in my life. The first few days I used it, there were no problems (I think because it was cold and I did not really sweat). However, on a day that I was more active and did sweat a little, my armpits became very itchy and red in some areas. I've always had sensitive armpits that are prone to itchiness and redness, and it took me years to find a regular antiperspirant/deodorant that didn't irritate (Dove Unscented). So I guess I'm still on the hunt for the perfect aluminum free deodorant. I gave these to my husband so they wouldn't go to waste. I'm going to try Soft & Dri aluminum-free deodorant next.

I have been using A&H Essentials Natural Deodorant for years, as it is the only deodorant on the market that I've been able to find that does not allow me to smell of BO after a couple of hours. Even in hot, humid, sweltering weather. It's dirt cheap and easy to locate...I wish I could, however, find a natural deodorant that is effective from a company that doesn't perform animal testing. I also don't like the fact that this has triclosan and propylene glycol in it, but until I can actually find something that works and does not leaving me smelling like BO, I'm stuck with it!

If I have a skin irritation under my arms (which happens occasionally), my HG (Crystal roll-on) seems to further irritate, so I grab this and use for a few days. It works relatively well for me (as in I can get 8 hours w/ no smell/stink vs my Crystal which gives me 24 hours of no smell/stink), so I'm not as confident as when I wear the Crystal, but when I need a break from Crystal, this is the only other natural non-aluminium containing deo that does work for me.I have gotten to a point in my life that I crave confidence so I won't re-purchase, but I will use up my 1 backup (I keep it in my gym bag) and the other is up for swap.

For years, I have used one of those crystal stone natural deodorants, which works fairly well most of the time. However, during the summer I really need something a little stronger when it gets really hot, and so I tried Tom's of Maine and Kiss My Face stick deodorants, as I was hoping to stay with an aluminum-free formula. The results were not encouraging (in other words, STINKY), and I was prepared to have to sacrifice an aluminum-free formula for greater strength. But, it looks as though I won't have to! I got the unscented stick variety of this product-it DOES have a slight, sort of citrusy scent that I don't find irritating-it isn't heavy at all and won't be noticeable a minute or two after you have applied the product. The best part of it is-neither will your stenchies!! I have worn this for a couple of very hot and humid days, during which I was mowing the lawn, doing heavy housework, etc. and not once have I noticed any B.O. (yes, I checked). It isn't an antiperspirant, so it doesn't keep you from sweating, but it will keep you from reeking to the moon when you do. I have applied it right after showering and shaving, and have not found it to be at all irritating to my underarms either. Aluminum and paraben free, though it does contain propylene glycol and triclosan so it isn't really what I would call a completely "natural" product, but still a great alternative to the crystal stone for those of us who need a little more help, but still prefer to keep it as chemical free as possible. I don't remember exactly how expensive this was, but I don't recall it being overly pricey-you can find it at supermarkets, drugstores, etc. I will definetly buy this product again, especially in hot weather. It's a keeper!

This is my 1st try at a more natural deodorant. I love this. The unscented actually has a nice citrus sent. It keeps b.o in check w/ 1 application a day. If this kept me drier this would be a HG.

RUN!(but put ANOTHER brand of deodorant on before you do or you will smell your mother in law)But really. I've been experimenting with natural deodorants for 8 months now. Here is THE ONLY THING I FOUND THAT WORKS.1) Wash with soap2) Put apple cider vinegar on a cotton pad and swipe both armpits. Let dry.Rationale: ACV is antibacterial -- and bacteria is the reason why your pits are stinky3) Spritz on magnesium oil. (I use cardiovascular health brand - can be found at any vitamin shoppe)Rationale: Body odor can be linked to magnesium deficiency. 4) Dot on essential oil of your choice.Rationale: So you can smell pretty AND non-synthetic.This WORKS wonders. I live in a place where it is 95 degrees outside 11 months of the year and let me tell you. ---what I did above got rid of any odor. The key is magnesium - if you are interested here is an article where I got the information to try from: http://www.cheeseslave.com/how-i-quit-using-deodorant-with-magnesium/
