Simply the best cleanser in the market for my combination-dry, sensitive, acne-prone, yet aging skin. This realization comes after trying out other less pricey alternative for reluctance of having to shell out such major nosh for my replacement LP cleanser. Clarins Extra comforting cream is drying, Elemis rehydrating rose-petal cleanser could not clear my pores, while Dermalogica's Ultracalming cleanser struggles to remove all traces of my sunscreen. I also found that I needed to use more product when cleansing with other brands than what I required when using LP emulsion. This product is gentle, yet keeps acne breakouts at bay, including those tiny bumps next to the nose. I highly recommend this to anybody with problematic skin that's tired of having to purchase multiple cleansers.

I don't know why everyone say that this is for dry skin. I don't find Cellular Comforting Cleansing Emulsion is made for only dry skin, I find it is perfect for all skin types, including the very oily skin type. It's non-greasy, without leaving any film when rinsed with water. The cleansing emulsion glides well, melt makeup and is comfortable using Clarisonic with it. I have combination, acne prone skin and I find this is perfect cleanser that feels gentle & delicate.

Excellent cleanser-softening, silky and effective. Also, versatile-I like that I can rinse or tissue off, depending upon my daily/nightly preference. I agree with the reviewer below about the packaging, but I solve that by dispensing what I need into a plastic travel bottle, as I need to. Also, the huge silver cap on top of the pump seems a little OTT. I've also used the Desensitizing Cream Cleanser, but this has since been discontinued-although, all La Prairie cleansers seem to keep well, and are good value. Never had a reaction, redness, break-outs or anything of that nature with this. My nightly moisturizer absorbs better, and I just feel as if this cleanser does more of a thorough cleanse, even compared to HE foaming cleansers, which tend to leave my dry/combi skin a little on the dry side. When this runs dry, I plan on trying the LP cleansing water. Great cleanser!.

This is a really nice creamy/silky cleanser for people with dry/mature/sensitive skin. I have dry skin/eczema, and this cleanser is gentle enough for me to use all year round, especially during the winter months. With continued use, I noticed less inflammation and redness, and my skin is softer and easier to manage with less flare ups. It can be rinsed or tissued off, and it can be used around the eyes as well! Only bad thing about this product is the new packaging - it's in a glass pump bottle now, so it's extremely inconvenient to travel with or lug around anywhere.

This is rich and comforting cleansing milk (creamy-milky rich consistency), very gentle on the skin. I like it a lot, even more than my, until now, favorite cleansing milks - Sisley and Carita. This is even better. Contains a lot of botanical oils, it is nourishing and soothing - so it is obviously more for dry, mature and/or sensitive skins. It can be used without water but you can wash you face after if you want. I always wash my face after cleanser, so I wash it after this one, too... Leaves the face moisturized, clean and soft. A very benefitial cleanser for dry and mature skin: doesn't strip off the moisture, it is very soothing, sort of revitalizing, I would say, and it has a very nice, gentle, relaxing scent. It is sort of relief for me when I massage it at the end of the day on my face, to remove makeup... Really nice.Packaging: 150 ml, glass bottle with a pump.

LP cellular comforting cleansing emulsion is - like the cleansing water - supposed for dry and problematic skin that needs cleansing without water. It targets post-surgeon skin as well as sensitive skin that doesn't tolerate water. I wasn't too much impressed with this emulsion: it cleanses very thoroughly as all LP cleansers, but I rinsed it off, and my skin was turning red. So, I might have made a mistake by rinsing it off...my skin is very delicate at the moment, but I never had this sensation with a LP cleanser before. La Roche Posay micellar water does the exactly same good cleansing job without water, but for a lot less. The LP emulsion rinses easily, but so does the elder LP cleansing cream or foam, which I really like, as you need just a tiny amount and a tube lasts well over a year with daily usage. As with many of the latest LP products designed recently for the US market, I think they just come up with new seemingly hype products, which turn out not to be as good as the elder traditional ones. If you want to splurge - go for it, you won't have any problems. If you want to save, go for the La Roche Posay or the traditional LP cream cleanser.
