I love the color but hate the texture. Its really matte and my lips look dry. Love the packaging and wish it was a more creamy consistency

This lipstick smells very odd, almost like clay. I didn't realize how matte it would be. Its quite a dry formula. The shade "gingersnap" is nice enough, but I don't think I like the formula enough to want to go out and get more shades in this line. The one thing I did like is the packaging - very nice, substantial, matte black tube in an unusual shape. The packaging feels very high end, but the lipstick itself is pretty meh.

This nourishing blend of exotic oils, natural waxes, and plant extracts create the perfect moisturizing formula. Each lipstick contains no artificial dyes and use only minerals from the earth as colorants. Best of all, there are no chemical preservatives, which can irritate lips and dry them out. The smooth, moisturizing formula has superior color payoff, glides easily onto lips, and is long wearing. Plus it is lightly scented with natural, calming lavender oil. Lips will stay perfectly hydrated and soft throughout the day. Think of it as healthy nutrition for your lips.
Very creamy, fairly long wearing lipstick, however, due to all the plant oils, this smells slightly medicinal when you apply it. They are well pigmented and go on smoothly. I bought this shade and Gelato from QVC on a promo. The price is no more than say a Clinique lippie, which is fairly economical, and the packaging is rather interesting, similar to NARS black rubber. I can't say I'm totally over the moon over this shade, but I do like it and if I ran out, I think I would repurchase. I wanted to try BE lippies because of them being all natural. They are worth at least a looksee. My next purchase will probably be Bellini, because it is described as a peach frost and that's color I ususally use in summer.

This is my everyday shade I wear to work, or when I'm going for a bare face. It goes on very neutral on me, the smell is comparable to Aveda lipstick, and stays matte. The big sell for me is the tube...the top is very secure and doesn't fall accidentally open in my purse like a lot of my Clinique lipsticks, and since it's packaged in rubber-like plastic I can easily locate it in my bag by touch. I'll buy again because I have a hard time finding colors that look OK on me, so when I find one I buy it until it is discontinued.

This shade reminds me of either Sutra or Fossil in Aveda. It is almost like a cross between the two. It is a very flattering and enhancing color-little darker than my natural lip color with a beautiful plum brown undertone. It is not brick, or red, or harsh. I was worried that it would appear dark, but is very natural. It is light enough to wear in summer if you tend to like a more neutral shade. My favorite shade however, is still Bellini-there is something so soft about that apricot peachy shade, but this is my second favorite shade of BE.
